ReplyDeleteLooks like you're well organised.
ReplyDeleteBy the way does Sylvia know you refer to her as 'The Cleavage'?
It looks like you and your crew have everything going swimmingly!
ReplyDeleteOh, it just looks so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have to ask too, does Sylvia know that is her identifier? LOL!
400 entries! Fantastic!
Thought of you this morning John..you got your eye pecked and I stepped, barefoot, on a scorpion!
(yes, they get into the house-it was my own fault-no harm done though).
How cute is that first photo. She's just adorable.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for it John. It looks super.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I could pluck one of Auntie Gladys scones off my computer screen! Yummy
ReplyDeleteWonderful team work. The tables are beautiful. I think the scones may be my favorites...I can almost smell them.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes swimmingly, Sir!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget to include a poetry recital! ;)
It looks wonderful and they all look so happy.....I'm sure it will be a raging success.
ReplyDeletePerfect !
ReplyDeleteYou really do have your ducks in a row, when it comes to organizing these fun times.
Those scones remind me of my grandma's bakery, goodness I bet they smell delicious.
Hope your day stays sunny and lots of folks turn out !

Off to pick your veg? Well make sure you close the curtains! It can be an arrestable offence!
ReplyDeleteTrelawnyd seems like a rural dream and your active involvement in the life of the village has surely helped to maintain its healthy, communal character. Not quite Walkley is it?
I just fell in love with your aunt Gladys. How lovely is that face?
ReplyDeleteAunty Glad has an Aga !
ReplyDeleteCan I come and polish it ?
Very French - vary Walsh. I thought 'flower show build-up' was a dental problem until I read your blog.
ReplyDeletemouse
ReplyDeleteyes she does and YES he likes it!
Hope it all goes well for John, and love Aunty Gladys. Would love to have that smiley face when I reach her age. Would also love the energy to do batch baking as well!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would get the ironing done and the flowers picked. Good luck with the weather tomorrow, although it does not look good on the weather map.
ReplyDeleteIf there are 400 entries, is your village now bereft of flowers? I imagine garden after garden of flowerless stalks!

I had to stop back by for another smell of those scones :)
ReplyDeletePray tell, whose embroidery talent, created all gorgeous linen tablecloths {swoon}.
~Jo
Holy Cow! You are all doing such a fantastic job there in Trelawnyd. With so many entries, so many scones, and so much cleveage success is guaranteed! Please post lots of pics for us to drool over.
ReplyDeletejo
ReplyDeleteMy mother did most of them!
I donated them all to the flower show....seemed a fitting thing to do

ReplyDelete400 over 6 sections
including arts, childrens, knit, cooking , flowers and veg!
weaver!
ReplyDeletethe show is ALL indoors ( very wise!!!)
A normal community and a breath of fresh air after all the nonsense we've witnessed this week.
ReplyDeleteI am reading all this with great interest as I am the one who organises our village Flower Show, which we hold in November. A much more modest affair than yours, though! We're trying to revive the tradition which dies out years ago, and this year's show will be our third. Take lots of photos and I hope it all goes wonderfully well.
ReplyDeleteWhat would Trelawnyd do without you, John!
Ah, Aunty Gladys reminds me of my Welsh Nanna, who always wors a pinny like that one and came from a mining village. I had an Aunty "Glad" too.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab day John.
Well that all looks set to perfection. Have a great day. x
ReplyDeleteWhat an ideal way to spend a weekend.
ReplyDeleteWill you look at that...you've got a wonderful crew that helped you out John. OH MY Aunty Glad's scones look WONDERFUL....one of those with a bit of clotted cream and some homemade strawberry jam would suit me right about now ;)
