City Break

Exteria shot of Cornerhouse at night
The Cornerhouse in Manchester (left)
Today I am letting Chris take charge of the animals, and I am off to Manchester for an overnight break with friend Nigel over in Manchester.
I have already told him I am need of a break, so the order of the day is a trip to the art house cinema "The Cornerhouse", a few wines, a fair amount of  fattening food and a great deal of frivolous chatter..
I need to re group just a little and laugh a lot......my tolerance  is low at the moment

  15. I decided a long time ago that most platitudes are designed to make the bestower feel better.
If I was nearer I'd have brought round a cake (I guess I'd have felt better then cos it would be you getting fatter!)

Hope your nose doesn't glow red with all the crying- how come in the movies they all look so GLAMOROUS amid the tears, whereas real people just end up with snot on our chins?

  24. No platitudes - just a simple "I'm sorry". I've missed "my" blogs for a few days and just learned about Constance, that funny little girl, on Isobelle's blog.
