The big top comes to Trelawnyd |
And so in typical British style...I will blunder on about it regardless.
Yesterday I worked like a Trojan and set up most of the tents and stalls.....Most of the heavy work is now done, I just have the marathon job of pricing things up, a last minute weed of the veg beds, mucking out the pig pen and collecting the cakes.
I am working nights tonight which is unfortunate, but seeing that I cancelled last weeks day, working tonight is unavoidable.
I am going to feel like shit tomorrow!
Right need to go, my first coffee of the day is almost finished and I have cakes to bake....
Thank you all for your best wishes
Hope it has gone well and all the cakes delicious.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the weather map you are going to be fine tomorrow John. What are you intending to do with the money you make - I am sure you told us but I seem to have missed that post. All the very best.
ReplyDeleteAll the best John. I'm sure it'll be a HUGE success!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous day John!
ReplyDeleteI panicked like mad then - I thought I'd got it wrong and it was today!! Hopefully see you earlyish tomorrow. x
ReplyDeleteShame about the night shift. Couldn't you have swapped with a colleague? Here's to a successful Open Day!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Hector! You'll be exhausted for sure but very happy too! If I were anywhere near, I'd have given you a hand. Don't you have any volunteers?
ReplyDeleteHugs
Jon

ReplyDeleteI'm not bored at all. Good luck with the night shift and appearing "bright-eyed and bushy tailed" tomorrow. Wishing you huge success at the event! It would be so much fun to be there (but not have to work my butt off as you've been doing)!
ReplyDeleteAll the tiredness will slip away when the moment begins.
ReplyDeleteYou have not only organized an event but have brought a village togeter to work for a common goal.
It has been hell but you have done it! There will be things that go wrong(those are the rules) but you will sail through them with your kind heart and quick thinking.
This will be such a roaring success, they will say, each year, John did such a wonderful job, let's have him do it again.
I hope everything goes well, and that you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHope it goes well!
ReplyDeleteYou may be bored writing it but I'm joining the others to say I'm looking forward to hearing all the details when it's over.
ReplyDeleteWishing you fair weather, sleeping patients and a bottomless pot of tasty hospital coffee!
I want to hear all about it too..with photos...and quotes from visitors. Wishing you great success.
ReplyDeleteThings are looking great! That wedding tent is great. Don't get frantic, you know that everything will go great. I'm just sorry that you will be so tired from working all night.
ReplyDeleteAll the best!

ReplyDeleteHope your day is filled with awesomeness!
We are all excited for you and hope that everything goes well. However, remember, it is the things that don't go exactly right that make a good story.
ReplyDeleteA little part of all of us is with you today.
It's going to be such a grand day, I only wish I could be there myself to partake in the festivities, and see No 12 all prettied and 'christened'.
ReplyDeleteSorry you have to work the night before, you'll be running on adrenaline at the fundraiser !
Best of Luck !
