Wish I could get a group of boys to do that for me all wearing M.N.D /ALS awareness bands -wouldn`t that look fab on Andrews blog ! Neds been in bed all day with the dreaded flu ! hope Chris takes good care of you-sounds like its your turn now !x
Cool video, John! Anything involving or invoking Ellen can brighten the day! A few years ago, my doctor actually told me to get up and watch the Ellen show (it was on in the morning then) every day to combat depression!
I'm new to your blog, but I'm still really sorry that you're both sick!
Squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon into a glass of boiling water, add 1 tablespoon of pure honey, stir to dissolve, then add 30 mls of brandy. Hop into bed, take two paracetamol, pull up the doonah, sip the hot lemon juice toddy until all is gone and then slide down into bed and snuggle up!
You'll sweat like a pig in the Sahara Desert but after a good sleep you should wake symptom free!
John - Thanks for the YUMMY video! (yeah, I KNOW. Don't burst my bubble!)
So sorry to hear that the flu has you down, too! You and Chris have to do what I and my son do, and get on 2-hr staggered medicine cycles. The last time we both had the flu and were battling outrageous fevers, we started the 2-hr stagger, that way when Michael was raving out of his head, I was almost lucid enough to get him more medicine and sponge bathe him, and then when I was raving out of my head, he could take care of me. He still giggles about all of my fever-induced ramblings.... his favorite was when I asked him to go measure the logs in the fireplace (which we don't have) because I was sure they weren't long enough.
Inspired by this video, perhaps you should set yourself the task of rounding up a team of blokes from The Crown Inn to a do a Trelawnyd version of the Boston flashdance. I'm sure a number of sheep farmers would be up for such a challenge.
I love Ellen and remember when they were on her show--They are certainly nice to look at and fun to watch!
John, I do hope you're feeling better--So many rely on your being healthy, so I hope you're able to get plenty of rest--Let us know on Tuesday how you're doing!!
I was battleing the same last week and luckily massive quantities of vitamin C and lemon essential oils from my sister seemed to have minimized the effects for me.
Hope your flu is short lived! or that your nursemaid is half as attentive as you have been to Chris!
Now I have to try to find my way to Boston for some football...
Now that was a fun video...thanks John... Jai Ho! Sorry you've got the dreaded bug too...spent most of the day in bed myself...just sipping some home made Bailey with hot water..feeling pretty good now! That clip reminded me how much I enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire...feel like seeing it again.
That was a very cheering video! Loved it. I hope you've got someone to look after the critters and you're not dragging yourself out into the cold to feed them. Look after yourself and get well soon, both of you.
I have no "Gaydar" but even I sussed that these were Gay - Brilliant! Poor you with the flu - mines just clearing up but I can't taste anything yet. xxx
Jeez, I sure wish I could move that fast! Can you?
ReplyDeleteTime for tea (stirred right) and some hot chicken soup - er... from the store, not the back yard!
Take care of yourself John, maybe get somebody over to take care of the backyard gang?
XXX

Look into my eyes - no, not around my eyes, INTO my eyes. You do NOT have flu (or even a slight case of the sniffles)
ReplyDeleteHope that magic worked. X
