She came home with us this afternoon.
Amid more heavy breathing than would be expected from a stereotypical pervert, Frankie ambled into the cottage with the air of a depressed bariatric sumo wrestler.
The dogs with varying degrees of mild interest, vague disgust and friendly indifference seem to have accepted the presence of this strange looking, nasally challenged new bitch ( so far) and could only stare (open mouthed.....well almost) when she climbed up onto the couch to sit with Chris after ambling around the cottage
Hey ho
I think Connie and Chris are giving each other the same look! Congratulations on your new arrival! Next up....THE GOATS!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the newbie in the pecking order! What does George think of her? Does she need a diet or just a lot of exercise? I think (so far) that she will fit in nicely, she was quite comfortable to jump up on the couch with Chris!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the sheep? Totally fizzled out, about the papers?
Get your wet weather gear on, I believe these doggies spread a lot of lather about.......
ReplyDeleteHe is lovely though.
the sheep HAD no papers...so we didnt ( or couldn't) accept them sharon..... the local farmer Ralph has offered me a couple for grazing.... need to get that sorted if I can
ReplyDeleteAww! I love it already. This friend of mine, when a dog like that was brought into the pub - started saying (in the dog's imagined voice): "Why am I alive?? Why did you create me??"
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of Chris and Connie looking at each other! (So is she Connie, or is she Frankie?)
ReplyDeleteJudith
ReplyDeleteIt will depend on her
x
What ever you call her John...she looks like a keeper.
ReplyDeleteI'm biased, I know, but they really are a wonderful, loving breed.
Congratulations!
Ah bless her - shes lovely and very lucky. xx
ReplyDeleteShe's a grand looking girl, and fits right in, right off the bat, what could be better !
ReplyDeleteWe had a male English Bulldog as the mascot for the local university's football team, the Cumberland Bulldogs. His name was Andy Capp. Despite his loyalty to his immediate caretakers, he was laking loyalty to the football team, and had a habit of running of the field and disappearing each time they played.
I think the name Daffodil would suit her ;)
She's a lucky girl, and you're both lucky boys! All the best with her.
ReplyDeleteA good dog will always recognise caring people and a good home - She's made herself at home, so take that as her way of saying - "Hmmmmm! OK! I think thi'll do me!"
ReplyDeleteHello my names Connie - this is my seat - any problems see the fella next to me lol
ReplyDeleteLooks like she fancies that spot no matter what any of the others say
Cathy
She's adorable! I've always loved the breed. Congratulations to you all.
ReplyDeleteRight at home! I see.
ReplyDeleteJim
Very cute, John. Look forward to hearing about how the newest member of the family is fitting in.
ReplyDeleteNow, of course she is a bit out of breath and nasally, she has a pushed in face and well she is a full figure gal :O)... I bet she is a sweetheart!! I agree she and Chris seem to have the same look on their faces lol... um I bet she snores with the best of them as well, LOL both our Boxers snored LOL...
ReplyDelete93 animals!!? I thought it was just 67 a little while ago. Hmmm...I must be remembering wrong. I can't tell from the pic whether they're sizing each other up or adoring one another. (Little of each?) Congrats on the latest family member you guys!
ReplyDeleteDia
