  1. Yes, to a certain extent. Although I do know many individuals who hide their selfishness behind a veneer of "animals are better than humans".

  2. everything should be treated humanely, even you John. But there is a difference between pets and livestock.

Also, undomesticated animals such as lions or whales should be left in their natural habitat.

  6. You know I never trust anyone who doesn't like dogs. Thats not to say I avoid cat people (nothing wrong with cats, I love cats) But If I meet someone and they say "ugh don't like dogs" I think shady, selfish and appaling company. If they are frightened of dogs than thats ok I don't have a problem with them.

My inlaws don't like dogs (or any animals/birds etc for that matter) and I don't like them.

  8. Like dear Cruella, I've never met an animal I didn't feel would make a lovely item of clothing!

  9. I totally agree with Jess. Even more so if someone declares that they don't like animals in general. I get that keeping pets is not for everyone and I don't think one must have pets in order to be an animal lover . . . just kindness and concern and, well, regard in their hearts for animals and their needs.

    Good quote, John.
