The Walking Dead Season Five Premier ( Beware Spoiler)

I know I am working tonight, so I shall miss the premier and will have to watch it all tomorrow morning
But I couldn't resist just watching this brief clip before I went
For those that don't know ( and don't care) the scruffy guy with the crossbow is a redneck, asperger character called Daryl Dixon who has become a sort of anti hero during the five seasons of The Walking Dead. The woman he is reunited with is a friend, an abused wife and mother called Carol, a character he bonded with throughout the series.
Their scenes have always been underplayed in favour of the action pieces, and brief as it was, I thought it was one of the best scenes in the whole five series...
Hey ho

  2. I won't spoil it too much, but John, last night Carol rocked and Darryl is hooked for the long term. She is his match and proved it to him and Rick last night

  6. It was a great season opener. I love Daryl and Carol: for some reason I think she is a mother figure to Daryl. This is going to be an interesting season and they've already been renewed for another.

  8. I don't even watch that show and found that scene incredibly moving. From what I have read about the season opener, Carol is a true bad ass. Enjoy!!!

  9. I have never watched The Walking Dead and probably never will because zombies do not appeal to me, even though it is filmed here in Atlanta and one of my old friends from AT&T days has been an extra in many of the episodes.

  15. Here is the power of John Gray and his merry band of commenters:

I don't care for much of what's on TV. I am not interested in zombies. I dislike greasy hair, my own or anyone else's (cough, Darryl's hair, cough); it makes me feel cold and unwell for some reason.

And yet ... I am nearly to the point of watching this bloody show!

    1. I admit it, I cover my eyes during the gory scenes. The actual story line is great.

      Think post apocalypse drama

    2. I have avoided this show for the first few seasons but John's rave reviews have made a fan outta me. I HAVE to watch it now. My likes and dislikes are similar to yours

  18. My only negative thought on that episode was "How in the heck did Carol get cleaned up - not only so quickly, but where!?!"
