I had my catheter changed today.
As usual I didn’t tell the district nurse I was a nurse
It was painful but a short lived pain
And she was very professional .
I’ve chased up urology too which was a lesson in pedantics
And I feel better for it
And mindful of the budget all over the radio
I bought almost out of date chicken kievs for supper.
I Cleaned the cottage , scrubbed the bathroom and gave Mary a warm shower in baby shampoo.
And I want to see how much would readers ask for personally made Greeting/Christmas Card designed by Ma Manley
She has now designed several of the village key buildings
The ancient Dove Cott at Gop Farm
The village school
The historic Still House

Individual cards printed manually SHOULD be about £5 each...but the going rate in the gallery for our makers group is £3.50 each or £12 for four ...mine are the only handprinted ones, the other artists' cards (of their paintings) are commercially produced.
ReplyDeleteThere must be sole in art centres local to you? Does the gallery bookshop in Oriel Theatr Clwyd still sell cards? Just to get an idea on pricibg
Thank u, ill pass your thoughts on dearHeart
Deletegz's idea of checking out the going rate around your area is a good one. I have no idea what would be a reasonable rate to charge, but I would think somewhere around the £3-£4 mark would be acceptable for most people.
ReplyDeleteGlad the catheter change wasn't too traumatic and you managed to chase up the urology department. Enjoy the chicken kievs! xx
Here in Belper which has quite a large artistic community, cards sell between £2.99 - £5.00, I think dependent on the amount of work that's gone into them or whether they're hand printed. I'd buy some as they are very unique. Xx
ReplyDeleteJohn, I would love some of the cards.
ReplyDeleteI just voted, and I’m excited and hopeful we can get our country back on track! We are not OK over here. I think you are having a better day. I hope so. Sending you a huge hug and lots of love, Carol in Atlanta ❤️
We voted too Carol - we are in Evans ,Georgia - fingers crossed we can get out of this mess!!
DeleteMa Manley’s designs are wonderful, unusual, and charming. I hope they’re sold in local shops!
ReplyDeleteIs lidocaine gel being used when your catheter is being changed? The numbing agent makes it less uncomfortable for many men and women. Are they using a coude tip catheter?
ReplyDeleteSorry but catheterized many a man over the years and comfort was always a priority for them. We just asked the doctor to order the items be used.
