Another success for the Trelawnyd Community Association
Ma Manley channelling her inner Amish ( she made the hat herself )
Cloudy but still warm
A beautiful backdrop to a house……
The Manleys history table
The Rectory looking proud
The band was the icing on the cake
Mrs Trellis wondering to have a Pimms
Village leader Ian , is behind x

What a fantastic event. I love Ma Manley's hat. She is a very talented lady! I'm glad the weather played nicely for you all and I hope you made oodles of dosh! Time for the organisers to put their feet up (or in a bowl of cool water) and enjoy a well earned G&T. xx
ReplyDeleteYes, I want her to teach me to weave
DeleteWhat a delightful and well attended event and you got the bonus of cloud cover instead of the blazing sun!! Good planning and it all came together so everyone had fun. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteIn the background of some photos I almost glimpsed Auntie Glad and other dearly departed residents of Trelawnyd.
Yes, feet up, happy, relaxed, and a G&T for recovery purposes.
Hugs!
She was mentioned
DeleteIs that the famous Ms Trellis sans her bobble hat?
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed
DeleteWhat a lovely day it looks like. Well done everyone.
ReplyDeleteWe raised almost a 1000£ towards the hall upkeep - expenses
DeleteI'm particularly enamoured of Ma's blue dress and sweater. It's not easy to find blue clothing in those hues, though I'm always keeping an eye out for them. -Kate
ReplyDeleteI’ll pass that on
DeleteFantastic! Village life at its best.
ReplyDeleteYes another glimpse
DeleteThank you for sharing those pictures. They were just great! It really gives one a sense of time and place.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely
DeleteNo wondering about it. I swear by my Pimms Cups in the summer heat while sitting in the garden at wonderment.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos one and all.
The pimms went down bloody well…I was surprised so many people had never tasted it before
DeleteI rather like Mrs T’s bracelet
ReplyDeleteShe’d like that you said that
DeleteIt is lovely, so many memories worn on a wrist.
DeleteI live in New York , this seems rather magical to me
ReplyDeleteLee
It is magical lee
DeleteThe blue linen of Ms Manley's dress is gorgeous. Does she hand dye her fabrics?
ReplyDeleteLovely garden fete, just like in a British ''cozy'' novel.
Is the fete a bit easier to produce than the flower show--in sense of no judges to be recruited, contestants to chivvy into growing, baking etc, tight time frame? Would you want to attract young parents and kids in future, games, rides....
Knowing her, I would think that she does
DeleteWe had large board games available , but I think we could involve the school next time
What wonderful photos! You people of Trelawnyd look a lovely lot, just the sort of friends and neighbours everyone seks but very few find. I love that first photo of Mrs Manley inviting everyone in with that gorgeous smile!
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so relaxed and at ease with each other - and I think I can hear the band from here!
So pleased you raised so much money - congratulations, all of you!
Nicely put Liz
DeleteLooks like everyone had a wonderful & relaxing afternoon! Congratulations on the successful garden tea & TCA fundraiser!!!
ReplyDeleteThank u
DeleteSo glad the day went well and you all had a wonderful time. xx
ReplyDeleteWe raised almost 1000£
DeleteWhat a fabulous day, and quite the fabulous crowd, too!
ReplyDelete❤️❤️❤️❤️🍓
DeleteEverything looks marvelous, simply marvelous! I loved seeing all your photos and your video too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely afternoon. You've ruined my image of Mrs Trellis though. She's perpetually in a bobble hat in my mind.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful group of people. I would be honored to meet any or all of them. They all seem to be so happy to be there. I truly wish I could travel to your little villager some time .
ReplyDeleteA welsh village …..Could picture Father Brown popping in ♥️
