I haven’t much news today .
The pre dusk has found me sat on the loo listening to David Sidaris on radio 4
An older man pants around my ankles, with a small black cat curled up inside my boxer shorts
What a catch.
We all have funny little habits don’t we?
I still hum camptown Races ( doo-dah, doo-dah!) when brushing my teeth
I laid down in the front garden to cloud watch but only for 30 seconds as there were no clouds to be seen and the ground was far too hard given the hot weather .
I was disappointed
I didn’t finish my counselling notes
I didn’t start them
I only person I spoke to was the German by video
I thought a lot about just why Sam Neil has been missed so much
He was everyone’s dad
Ann Widdecombe’s death was so sad and pointless too.
I’m staying home more since the catheter insertion and I know I shouldn’t
Trendy Carol has a new puppy, a fox terrier, Gracie , who is adorable .
Roger meets her tomorrow
Kelda Manley has fostered some injured herring gulls
The Rectory garden Party is all set for Saturday

You actually gave me good laugh.
ReplyDelete"I didn't finish my counselling notes.
I didn't start them."
That just sums up a day like that, doesn't it?
I didn’t realise I was being funny xx
DeleteDuly noted: there was a small black cat in your underwear last eve. Hope that's an oddity in your household.
ReplyDeleteNever had a tooth brushing tune, but will consider it. doo-daa-doo-daa!
Wave at the German for me. My Dad's mother was from Kreutzburg (sp?).
We all can be certain there is much laughter in Trendy Carol's house as their new puppy finds his/her way around.
Hugs!
Just cottage & village news
DeleteRemember to remove the cat, before pulling up your pants.
ReplyDeleteShe’s so small…..if Albert was in there,I wouldn’t and couldn’t stand up
DeleteThanks for the giggles & grins with the post title. What a picture you painted! 🐈⬛😊
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to hear how Mary & Roger get on with Trendy Carol's new puppy.
BTW... have you met the new owners of Old Trevor's home?
Stay safe & well, John dear.
No, they keep themselves to themselves and have not entered any village events…I think I will give them two tickets to the garden party as a TCA welcome
DeleteThat's a lovely & welcoming gesture. Wishing you all a lovely time at the garden party!
DeleteWell John you may think you have no news but I thoroughly enjoyed this post and had a titter about ‘the cat in the pants’. Please post a picture of Gracie soon, thanx. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteI will she looks like a wind up toy
DeleteI so want to know more about this German fellow, but I know you will say nothing

ReplyDeleteMeandering and funny

❤️❤️🙏🌈
DeleteI absolutely agree with Keith, especially as a person whose allergies prevent me from ever living with a cat and experiencing their quirks. I adore cats and would have a dozen if they ever found a solution.
DeleteNina
Ps look after yourself
ReplyDeleteKXx
Thank u
DeleteWell, your not much news is much more interesting than my not much news. The image of a cat in your underpants will linger long in my mind and continue to give me a good old giggle! xx
ReplyDeleteI told you she was clingy
DeleteLet's hope the cat doesn't have fleas!
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣
DeleteYour day is always colorful. Kitty in the underpants, notes/no notes for counselling, meeting Gracie the new pup and preparing for the upcoming garden party. Sounds like a full day. You are living a good life and sharing it with us, your blog friends.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a nice photo of one of your kitties. Who is the clingy one? My last dog was a mongrel called Gracie. Best dog ever. My dog now likes to toss my clothes on the floor if I don’t put them where they belong. Still laughing at cat in the pants. Gigi
ReplyDeleteIt was Albert lol
DeleteWhat? No picture of the loo action?!?!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who's dog does the same thing every time he's on the loo.
No action at all in this house
DeleteA cat in the pants, a pussy really in your underwear. John, I am surprised:)
ReplyDeleteOh Lordy
DeleteAny chance you can record Roger meeting Gracie? A much needed smile today. Thank you. xx
ReplyDeleteI missed it
DeleteLovely newsy post with some giggles on the way, especially in other people’s replies. Enjoy the garden party.
ReplyDeleteWatch this space
DeleteGood to keep up with your life, the good and the not so good. I had to adjust to Moose in my underwear. Eventually I enjoyed it. Mine were briefs and he was a big cat.
ReplyDeleteI don’t do briefs
DeleteMaybe a movie with an ice cream, in an air conditioned cinema would be nice?
ReplyDeleteIt’s been too long x
DeleteI don't allow the cats into the bathroom while doing MY business, just like I stay out of the laundry room--where we keep litter boxes--while they do theirs.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I adore that cat face!
I’ve removed the litter trays they don’t use them now
DeleteSomething to look forward to - that garden party.
ReplyDeleteThe velvet voiced Linda has phoned today , I hope I will be a success
DeleteThat's a photo of Albert, yes?
ReplyDeleteWell remembered xx
DeleteNeill was a hot piece of beefcake, both now and when younger. But he really endeared himself to many by making those homey videos during the pandemic. I fell in love with him then. -Kate
ReplyDeleteHe was obviously a nice kind man
DeleteAnd David Sedaris! His books make me laugh out loud -- literally. -Kate
ReplyDeleteHe’s got darker the older he gets
DeleteAnd this is why I read you every day John, who else would talk of a cat in his underpants.......
ReplyDeleteps: that is Albert, isn't it? Cheers!
Yes Jim , it’s a tribute to Albert who was so big even he was too big for my biggest underpants
DeleteSam Neil said his favourite film he acted in was ‘Hunt for the Wilder People’. It’s my favourite too. It is a funny, quirky, moving tale set in the beautiful New Zealand wilderness.
