A winner and a loser
There was the first village dog show today and Roger was robbed. He was only really eligible for one class and flunked out to a blind Mongrel with an I am Blind coat on
Sophia with Rocky her French bulldog
Isit only a couple of years since the male voice choir sang to her
We got home mid afternoon, only to find Weaver asleep on the couch. She heard my effusive hello , of that I was sure, as she opened one eye then closed it again with an attitude of distain bordering on contempt
Sorry for Roger, he's a winner in blogland. As for Weaver, she obviously intends to come and go to her own beat! You are just there to provide food and shelter.
Thrilled to hear Miss Weaver has returned home!!! 🥰🐈⬛❤️ Sorry Roger was robbed. There are no losers in the Gray household. Wishing you, Weaver, Bun, Mary & Roger a calm, peaceful, and relaxing weekend together.
Welcome home(?), Weaver. I grew up with a cat that had a significant territory, nearly a mile in any direction. There were lots of woods around and wildlife snacks to be had. And in the coldest winter, the cat would lay on the radiators and soak up the 75-degree heat in my family’s greenhouses… and beg for donuts. Bonnie in Minneapolis
Oh, that is the news we've all been waiting for. Weaver returns! Well, losing to a blind dog isn't too bad. I know your blog readers think he's a winner anyway! xx
That cat will torment the life out of you, off she will trot on her escapades and you will worry for her safety, then she will trot back to start the cycle all over again, bloody clever that Weaver. Glad she is home now and you are hopefully OK. Jan in Castle Gresley
Poor Roger, I hope he wasn't too disappointed, especially since he wouldn't have been able to read what the blind dog's coat said.
And glad you can stop worrying about your wandering girl. We got our little dog a GPS tracker after she ran away once in the woods and was lost overnight.
I love those pictures and especially the one of the young girl who was dressed with such style. I'm guessing her pet was a French bulldog and that is why she wore that pert black tam. So cute. I'm sure Roger's loss had little significance for him because I would bet he had plenty of attention anyway. As for Weaver - cats! I once had a cat who honestly lived nine lives. Each near death experience only made her more resilient.
So happy Weaver decided to come home and yes Roger is a winner, she just didn’t need a sympathy vote. My last dog, Gracie, won the mongrel class in the Grenada dog show, only because she barked at the judge; he liked her spunk gigi
So glad that weaver is back home! hope bun is more content now she is back! And yes Roger is a winner as far as we are concerned, he is such a handsome boy! Love to all in your house 💕Mary D xxx
Maybe invest in a collar camera for Miss Weaver it would be very interesting to say the least and she can have her own vlog. So glad she is back! Roger is a gentleman I'm sure he was gracious coming in 2nd. Jen
Phew So glad she is home again. My (neutered) boy cats used to be gone hunting rabbits for a couple of weeks when they were younger. Not good for the nerves!
Roger only lost out because the blind dog got the sympathy vote - and Roger is too much of a gentleman to register an appeal! So Weaver returns! As if she has never been away and disdainful of the fuss. This is one complex cat with a superiority complex. But the family are together again, which is all that matters. So now try to relax! (But that's animals for you. Especially cats!)

ReplyDeleteGlad that Weaver has returned. That cat will be the death of you. Poor Roger not winning but a blind dog would have got the sympathy vote.

DeleteReally pleased she's back! Hugs to all of you. Jxx
ReplyDeleteThese animals will be the death of me
DeleteThank the fuck for that!
ReplyDeleteShe looked so pissed off still
DeleteWeaver was probably just "out on the razz", caterwauling with randy toms on Byron Street. You should try it yourself some time.
ReplyDeleteLove the Sophia video……bet you were slightly miffed she returned

So an independent Lady Weaver. Roger wins hands down on line though. ( ) Josie
ReplyDeleteWeaver is home….🙏obviously one of those girls who likes to kick her paws up occasionally.
