I feel brighter and more focused today.
A lot more.
For weeks I’ve felt a little listless and out of sorts. Something I couldn’t quantify adequately but something that had brought down my mood and my resolve.
The weather is bright and warm and sunny and I’m making my first list of the day
A to do list.
First thing I collected my petunias from Oli . He’s a lad who lives on Byron Street who was selling home grown petunias to earn extra pocket money.
A book of poetry by Lucas Jones
It’s quite lovely
Bra straps hiked to top position
Best foot forward

Lucas Jones is the most wonderful poet. Captures emotions beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear you are feeling better. The weather helps doesn't it? Very sunny here. I sometimes wonder what the British character would be like if we had better weather more often.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect book to give you at the moment. The sunshine is a big boost for our moods isn't it. I hope it lasts, but doesn't get too hot, I am a big wuss with heat.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Oli. Those petunias look healthy and I wish I lived close enough to buy a tray or two.
ReplyDeleteYou're sounding much more chipper today. I agree with the others, the good weather really does help lift the spirits. xx
It’s important to keep those bra straps hiked. Then you wouldn’t be constantly tripping over your boobs!
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry I don’t live nearby. I’d buy petunias from Olie. Good for him. And those flowers in the vase are glorious.
Those flowers are glorious indeed. You are an example to us all. Hugs. Jxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you've perked up! You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely Spring vase display. Fair lifts the spirits.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better but I am concerned about your wearing of bras. Is there something you want to share with the class?
ReplyDeleteSending hugs John:)
A nice walk and Spring flowers sure do help lift one's spirits.
ReplyDeleteJohn , I am so glad you feel better today! The sun is everything to me. Falls hurt my ego, my feelings, my bones and joints. Sending love and a giant hug from Carol in Atlanta
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear that you have perked yourself up. We are having a perfect, sunny, not too warm day here. It does help lift you up.. I refuse to wear a bra so have to watch the tripping hazard. Gigi
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear things are looking up. I need some petunias as well. I wish I had an Oli nearby -- £3 a tray is a good deal!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful vaseful..in a very nice vase.
ReplyDeleteWell done Ollie..may his enterprise thrive!
Glad to hear that brastraps have been hoiked..is onwards and upwards the correct phrase ?
Be kind to yourself, spring is often a sad depressing time. You've had some challenges, your now defunct anniversary, then that sudden FB? reminder of the marriage break up. Your health, Mary's, Bluebell. Two jobs you work hard at still, your approaching bday....life can get anyone down.
ReplyDeleteA small boy with big ideas, selling petunias! How adorable and cheering up that is.
hugs,
lizzy
