A Chameleon On The Fridge

It’s 5 pm and the ice cream van has arrived in the village. I’ve not noticed it in years gone by but this one plays the zimmer theme from The Third Man which feels strange, especially as there is still a distinct chill in the air.

I’ve just finished two night shifts, and didn’t sleep much today, so it’s pottering time , with a slow pace , soup cooking, clothes washing, fire lighting and radio 4.
I’m mildly annoyed because my second best counselling jumper now has tomato stains down the front.
The man that delivered the fridge never bothered about such things

Oh I’ve bought a new fridge . My Ikea fridge freezer has died and isn’t repairable and shocked at the cost of a replacement, complete with fitting has meant I have bought a small table top fridge to more suit my needs.
My handsome chameleon is sat on it . The old fridge is now an ideal storage cupboard

Jesus John , I’ve got absolutely no news, except that not many fuckers have a stuffed reptile on their fridge

Well done in getting to the pottering stage of two just past night shifts with little sleep in between.
Hope the little fridge holds all you need it to and good idea to use the dead fridge for a pantry. We had a friend who used her dead fridge as a bookcase.
Fingers crossed that the tomato stain comes out!
    Sweet dreams!

    Hugs!

  2. I'm a terrible sleeper, so those days when I'm really tired, I just potter, too. No point in forcing energy that isn't there!
I love the chameleon guarding your fridge. Using the old one for storage is a good idea. As for the tomato stain, I tend to try washing up liquid first for most stains.Or you could try Google, someone out there might have a magic formula! Time for the adult bib, John, says she, who is currently wearing a t-shirt with soy sauce on it. You'd think, by now we could find our own mouths, wouldn't you? 😉 xx

  3. Hahaha, a dorm fridge! Do you not stock up or freeze extra portions? I just toured a house my friend is building and he showed me the spaces where he will have two enormous American fridges. And a giant professional stove. [they cook and entertain a lot]. My parents always had two large fridges plus a standalone freezer. Hard to imagine living w just a countertop fridge but a good compromise--for now?

  4. Well, at least you're still getting some use out of the old fridge!

  5. Oh my, I understand the price problem with appliances these days especially frigs. And they no longer have much life . Bummer. Good luck for the little one. I have one as a spare overflow because I need space for fresh berries, etc. You’ll make it 👍🏻

  6. I bought a new fridge freezer when I moved here, it's very small but big enough for me. When I ordered it online a message flashed up on the screen, warning me to double check the size. It suits me very well.

  7. Your narrative is as confusing as a spy novel.

How did your "second best counselling jumper" acquire tomato stains on the front?

"The man that delivered the fridge never bothered about such things". Que?

Anyway, stand by to regret your table top purchase. Far too small, and not energy effective.

Other than that enjoy the little April Showers and intermittent sun - Think Bambi.
