I saw God on the train

I love this poem by Lucas Jones. Its pace and masculinity and power and rawness is refreshing. Last night of three this week, and I’m eating beef stew . The Welsh are at Trendy Carol’s and I’ve realised , yet again, I have nothing much to say.
I hope this changes tomorrow

Wonderful poem and food for thought. I once saw a billboard that said, "If God seems far away, guess who moved."
Wishing you well on this last night shift of the week. Beef stew seems good nutrition (and tasty) for the work ahead. Thank goodness for Trendy Carol!
Snow tonight, ice (lower case i) tomorrow. May the electricity stay on, please and thank you.

    Hugs

  2. I've not heard that poem before, so thank you. It moved me in a way that I can't explain.
Even when you have nothing much to say, you find something to amuse, intrigue, stimulate or soothe! xx

What a wonderful, deep, brilliant ultra modern poem. Also try the original version of Roger McGough's ' Mother, there's a strange man at the door.'
John, stop apologising for thinking you have nothing to say. Nowhere is where the finest thoughts and observations come from!

  7. A brilliant poem.

You aren't supposed to have things to spout every day... especially when you are on nights! Look after yourself xx
