  1. When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about Weaver making her way onto your lap for a cuddle. Oh, well!
Wishing you, and all your blog readers, a very happy, peaceful Christmas. xx

What a glorious array of lovely and loving cards have arrived at your cottage! I'd like to see the display in slow motion so I could see each design. Have you counted how many cards you've hung up?

    Hugs!

    1. No strange as it may seem , I don’t count them , I just want enough to surround the room , that’s my Yuletide tradition

  5. Mum used to do that too, when people sent cards. It looks lovely and I especially love the ceiling in that room with the open beams.

I always love to see your cosy and very real cottage - as opposed to the set ups for the country living dream cottages. Those strings of cards are most impressive. And hope you are saving the stamps for charity fundraising@

Nadolig Llawen ! And congratulations on all the cards they look lovely! I must admit we only sent cards to my parents friends and those far away , but gave a donation to heart foundation! It sounds miserly but a better use for the money! Yes I do save the steps but am not sure where they will go this year now a good friend has passed away. ☹️my very best wishes for a truly lovely Welsh Christmas surrounded by your friends and the animals xx

  15. I haven't counted ours but I suspect we have less than 15. Emails are so much easier these days.

  16. Sorry John, meant to send you a card for your string, but basically I forgot! No excuses. Will try harder next year!

  18. Sorry I didn't send you a card this year, it's been a bit hectic, I think I only posted five out. Mine would have taken up six inches! I think you'll fill the gap though. :-)

Sorry, but I didn’t send any this year. I received 1 from next door neighbour, 1 from daughter and one from Scotland informing me of the death of my late husbands nephew. It will be a sad Xmas for his niece after 42 years of a wonderful marriage. I find this holiday very sad since my husband died close to Xmas 6 years ago. I am happy for everybody else who have people to celebrate with and send best wishes to you John and for your family and also to the furry bunch.

I have much the same tradition as you John. I just love seeing the cards strung up in the lounge. Makes the room feel full of loving wishes from family & friends. Sue P x

That is a very impressive display of cards you have there, terribly sorry mine isn't one of them :( I completely ran out of time this year to send extra cards, I am going to buy some and put them by for next year. Hopefully I'll remember where I stashed them hahaha! Merry Christmas to one and all!
