Espresso Macchiato-Grupo Talía

It’s 9.17 pm and I’ve been out of the cottage at work since 6 am only getting back 45 minutes ago,
By the time I’ve walked and fed the dogs, and cats, lit the fire and had a shower, I’m ready to collapse in an untidy heap on the couch.
Weaver has been fighting with the neighbourhood’s  feral Tom , a cat three times her size. He used to bully  Albert rather relentlessly so was christened with the fairly uncharitable nickname of  The Cu*t, a name that rather suited him, but Weaver has already given him a run for his money

It’s all drama …..Jesus! It’s all drama!

The lisping choir paying homage their favourite beverage was a chuckle tonight
Tomorrow Chic Eleanor and I are off to see Now Voyager at the Storyhouse
A 1940s weepie is just what we both need me thinks.

Jesus squire , you are 63, you don’t need to work this hard, can’t your counselling clients take up the slack ?

That's a nurse for you - long hours without so much as a cuppa, then home to a cat with just as much chutzpah. You two were made for each other.
Have a smashing outing with Eleanor....a great film. My cousin once lived on a canal boat. As a lifelong Bette Davies fan bet you can guess what it was called. Isn't Now, Voyager an inspired name for a boat?

I've also wondered if you need to work as a nurse or just take on more clients who need you? Not yet?
Love the lisping choir and their marvelous and energetic conductor. What a delight!
Take good care of you, my friend, and please give Chic Eleanor a hug from me.

    Hugs!

  6. Goodness! Weaver what are you thinking? Did anyone get hurt? Alternatively, maybe Weaver found her (not so charming) prince charming.
I agree with what others are asking: why not just be a counsellor?
Have fun with CE! Sounds good to me.

  7. I have never heard of that movie. Off to google it. Drama? Be glad you only have two. Our clowder always has some sort of upset happening.

  8. Hi John, oh, I love reading ur blog which I have done now for 20+ years. Just must say the favorite movie of my 81 yrs. has always been "Now Voyager"!! Yes, I'm a huge Bette Davis fan, but more, that movie always somehow gave me encouragement and strength thru life. Hope you also will enjoy it! "there is always strength for a new beginning"

  10. The choir and orchestra always look like they're having such a good time. Weaver is such a character. I hope the spats with the tom don't end up with her getting injured or, God forbid, pregnant! I can't remember if the twins have been neutered. I agree with others, counselling is a much less physically demanding job, with more sociable hours. I hope you can adjust the balance in your favour soon. xx

That was probably my least favourite Bette Davis film. The Birthday Party and Whatever happened to Baby Jane? are two of my other favourite Bette Davis films.

Poor Weaver, I hope she doesn't get any wounds or an abcess.
Bette Davis is top of my favourite actress list. I've watched Now Voyager so many times. It's in the top four of my favourite films. The acting, the
story, and oh that last scene,
"Why ask for the moon when we have the stars."
I would hate to see anyone else try to play that part. It would spoil the whole story.
    Jean.

I hope you are building up a nest egg before giving up the nursing or getting your house paid off. It cuts down on a lot of stress. I have never heard of that movie but having been a live a board on Levity and Lanivet think it sounds interesting. I have never had an outdoor cat but have heard some really loud cat fights in my back yard. Weaver is something else! You go girl. Gigi
