It feels like winter
Tonight is bloody cold,
I haven’t a story to share, except that Mary had the right idea and
Hid herself on the little yellow armchair and wrapped herself in the
lovely soft green throw given to me by my Chic Eleanor
I went to my sister Ann’s house for supper ( amazing Spanish Chicken and chorizo )
And taking a lesson from my old girl I cocooned myself on the trendy blue couch with Roger and Bun ,
Covering us all with the spare duvet when I got home.
The storms and bad weather have damaged the graveyard

She looks so cosy.
ReplyDeleteThe graveyard doesn’t
DeleteGlad the storm didn't damage your home. Stay safe and warm! xo
ReplyDeleteNothing better than snuggles on a cold wintry evening!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that we are under what is known as the 'Pembrokeshire Dangler', a north/south weather system over the Irish Sea, with northerly winds funneling down, causing heavy rain or snow. I'd never heard of the term before, but it is ****** cold!
ReplyDeleteLooks like quite a rough storm. Glad you managed to stay snuggled and cozy. “Freezing” here, too. SG was complaining. It was 10C when we went out this morning! (Up to 18 by the afternoon.) But I have read that a cold snap is coming our way.
ReplyDeleteSnuggle up and stay warm. I hope someone with a chainsaw and some patience to set things back up, will attend to the cemetery.
ReplyDeleteMary looks so sweet all snuggled under the cozy warmth of the soft green throw Chic Eleanor gave you. I can imagine you, Roger, and Bun snuggled together on the couch and hope Weaver was warm wherever she was.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the damage to the cemetery.
It's cold here, too, and winter coats are in use.
Hugs!
Sweet Mary looks nice and warm under the blanket.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too, hovering around the freezing point over night. All the winter blankets are on the beds.
Hopefully, the cemetery will be put back to right after all the story damage.
No doubt.....winter is coming.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely the weather for snuggling under cosy blankets
ReplyDeleteDear Sweet Mary. Photos of her tug at my heart.
ReplyDeleteCOLD here this morning (5.30 am), and I'm expecting to see some frost later. I've put the heating on!
ReplyDeleteI have recently discovered the comfort of a heated throw in the cold. It's so good!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if some headstones have been damaged by the tree falling. Such a shame.
The graveyard looks so damaged. What a terrible storm that was, glad it has passed and you and the kids are snuggly and warm. My pug likes his Warmie, it's a plush toy or pillow that is warmed in the microwave briefly. Filled w I think flax seed and lavender but similar to the wheat pillows or flax seed pillows people and make. Not a good choice tho if pets are destructive of toys. There are also plug in crate pads that stay warm continuously. Mary's little old bones might like that since your cottage is maybe chilly when you're not home to tend the fire.
ReplyDeleteIt IS Winter!! That looks like a fair sized tree to go like that.
ReplyDeleteStaying snug is the best idea
'Tis the season for snuggling under a blanket with loved ones. I hope there wasn't too much damage to the graveyard. Stay safe and warm. xx
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely winter here too. I hope there is no more tree damage especially close to home.
ReplyDeleteI was at Jacksons yesterday choosing winter shrubs. I thought my gloveless hands might get frostbite.

Free firewood! Dad said it warmed you three times, cutting, stacking, and burning it. I hope the damage can be made good. -5°C and frosty first thing. So cold walking our old Daisy Dog yesterday, time for the thermal undies.
ReplyDeleteNo snow? I hear many Welsh schools are closed today because of heavy snowfalls.
ReplyDeleteMinus one C here this morning, I guess winter is on its way. That was quite the storm you had. Too bad about the downed trees. Glad your house was spared. Keep warm and have a good day John. Gigi
ReplyDeleteAre the storms getting worse? Just curious. Glad you all stayed warm.
ReplyDeleteSeeing a dog snuggled up on the couch makes me FEEL warm!
