I’m in the middle of three nights ( hence) the radio silence
Thank you for your concern, I see I’m a creature of habit who blogs daily out of the enjoyment of it.
I just have not had the time.
I couldn’t sleep today and moved into the spare bedroom ( which is darker) to see if that would help.
It didn’t
Dogs and cat on a single bed does not promote sound sleep.
I was up showering a rather smelly Mary at three pm
Then had to wash by double bedroom duvet after Weaver shat on it.
I’m beginning to hate nights
The one good thing is that I’m catching up with paperwork. On my break and in between jobs I’m getting things ticked off. Christmas cards designed with The Trelawnyd Productions Logo have been addressed and written. Bank Statements have been checked and the backlog of correspondence caught up with.
I’ve even almost written a somewhat banal blog post, just to prove that I’m still alive
In fact my new German friend message me yesterday with the same thought and request to which I answered with a somewhat cryptic not really….
I shouldn’t be so uncharitable.
Glad to see this post, John. We were all getting worried for a moment!
ReplyDeleteInsomnia is awful, especially if you know you've got to get up to go to work in a few hours. Still, at least you got some jobs out of the way! I hope the night shift is gentle on you and you get a good sleep tomorrow. Oh, and you need to have a stern talk to Weaver! xx
Good to see you here and I didn't realize you were working 3 nights in a row. Bother and bummer! Worse is not being able to sleep and having to wash the duvet cover due to Weaver's stinky mess. Might you need to put Weaver in a crate for a time out?
ReplyDeleteAm glad you could accomplish a few things that needed doing and hope you had some good food to make things better.
Big hugs!
Always good to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteWeaver should not still be messing indoors. She's an adult cat! You certainly do not need this extra aggravation and work. Would a course of crate training help to eliminate the problem?
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you.

Yippee!!! You are back!!❤️. Carol in Atlanta
ReplyDeleteNot banal at all.
ReplyDeleteYour life seems busier that most people's, so blog-writing should only be an activity IF you have the time.
ReplyDeleteWeaver does have a point...for your health you shouldn't be doing nights and disrupting your (and their) routine!
ReplyDeleteWas Weaver making a statement or simply being a little “shit.”
ReplyDeletePet crap on the duvet cannot just be ignored. Rebuilding the bed at 3am? Been there, done that. You may be exhausted, but it is one thing to wake you up regardless. Attention seeking? Three nights in a row gets you overtired. Oh hell. Soon be Christmas. Keep trudging on.
ReplyDeleteWorking at night screws up your system, and I wouldn't be surprised that it can lead to depression.
ReplyDeleteThe joys of animals and their unexpected emissions. I hope they're not ill.
ReplyDeleteI have friends who work night shift, and their lives are work, sleep, work, sleep. I feel for you, and hope that you can one day never have to work them again. Oh, that little shit Weaver! We had 8 cats inside at one time, and my life was feed, clean up shit, puke, hair, fur balls, repeat! Now we have none and I just pet sit occasionally and my house stays clean.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you John. Not getting good sleep is the pits. Gigi
ReplyDeleteA bit late to this, and started to waffle about the downside of having pets ( I get so entrenched with mine - past and present!) I think I just wanted to say, hope this finds you ok.

May things get better as the week progresses.
ReplyDeleteHope you catch up on your sleep, John. Take care! xo
ReplyDeleteOOOOOH new German friend!!!!!
ReplyDeleteProspective romance?
Do tell us more.
I would be tempted to my cat's neck if she shit on my bed. She did have an accident downstairs, but she's also old, and I can live with that, but not my bed!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful I don't work nights anymore, although the screwed up sleeping lingers on, even after 25 years.
I forgot to write wring, I would be tempted to wring my cat's neck.
DeleteI think we read between the lines Pixie 🤠I had a dog peed on my son's bed once when scared by fireworks 😳
DeleteI don't always comment because anything I might say has already been said above so what's the point? I'm reading every entry anyway, you can be sure -- I love that you write virtually every day, and I love that it's always of interest to me. I also am a most-every-day blogger, and only for my own pleasure; it keeps me in the writing flow, which can't be a bad thing. Good luck with that cat; you have the patience of Job, to keep her around, but I understand and admire your commitment.
ReplyDeleteI usually sleep quite well so when I don't its the worst thing, so sorry for your plight.
ReplyDeleteI hate to give advice on pets, but shitting on my bed??? The door would be kept closed.
ReplyDeleteRe Weaver - a second litter box is recommended when you have 2 cats, as well as making certain the boxes are scooped on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI have a disabled cat and sometimes he shits on my bed too. Do I like it, no, do I understand why, yes. I just sigh and change the duvet cover and put a throw over the remade bed...I chose to have cats, it's on me... always! They can do no wrong in my eyes, except try to catch the birds..... they are so well fed they don't need to but can't help their intuition!
