The oddity that is the kitchen wall was raised this morning by a plastic container full of Indian “ nibbles” complete with raita!
No name, but a yellow post it instructing me to Enjoy!
I’m on three nights and favourite patient of mine passed away last night, so the treat was welcomed warmly.
Indian food for breakfast
What larks Pip!
I need a kitchen wall like yours!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a treat to warm both your heart and your tummy. A Sunday Surprise to make the weekend special and lift the spirits after a sad shift. Makes you realise with a bit of a rush that real joy comes in the small things. But most of all - that you are loved and cared for, John Gray! So take a moment to bask in the mellow warmth of it.
ReplyDeleteYour magic kitchen wall does serve up some treats! There are people in your village (and way beyond) who care about you and know your tastes!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your patient. I know it comes with the job, but sometimes it hurts more than others. Hugs. xx
Now that's what I call a hot breakfast!
ReplyDeleteIf that's all veggie, as I suspect it might well be, I'm already mouth-watering in anticipation of it being so.
ReplyDeleteYou get the best surprises. Do people still say “what larks pip”?
ReplyDeleteSo many nice things have been left on your kitchen wall by villagers and by you yourself. Is it the wall that Humpty Dumpty sat upon?
ReplyDeleteYou are well loved, John! I reckon Indian for brekky would be lovely
ReplyDeleteWho is that wall angel? What a lovely surprise after a long 3 nights. Hugs, Gigi
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, and rest well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gesture.
ReplyDeleteI could not love this more.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the death of your favorite patient. You and all hospice staff have my admiration as your job is full of good-byes.
ReplyDeleteYour magical kitchen wall continues to bring timely treats! Am glad this morning's surprise was yummy. How sweet it is!
Wishing you well on these night shifts.
Hugs!
