A Scotch Egg On The Wall

It’s cold and rainy today
And by just pure luck I spied a plastic bag on the kitchen wall
It it was a single, homemade scotch egg
The God’s are smiling on me today
Be still my beating heart.
I shared some of it with old Mary as Roger remained asleep
And jolly good it was too
A Sunday treat on an inhospitable Sunday

I’ve talked to friends this morning via teams and am due a catch up with Nige at three pm.
At five I’m meeting my sister for the finale of Downton Abbey….is it fifteen years ago since the series started? How time flies.

I wonder who left me the egg?
It was bloody lovely

I do love a scotch egg.
One that arrives unannounced, even better x

Ohhhh ... a touch of magic and one of your very most favorite things on the planet! Are you wearing your Scotch Egg tee shirt?

    Hugs!

I wonder if I built a wall, would treats appear like on yours?

Poor Roger, sleeping in can cost you.

  11. The scotch egg looks amazing, what a treat. And someone knows you well, a kind anonymous! I wouldn't mind a few cold rainy days, just a tiny respite from all this hot sun.
My Mo the Pug is the same age as Mary or a year older---the senior dogs are such dear companions, aren't they. I share bits from my plate too---their waning years deserve more than brown kibble twice a day. Enjoy your day.

  12. Sounds a lovely way to spend an otherwise dreary Sunday... catching up with friends, spending time with your sister, and sharing a Scotch Egg with dear sweet Mary!
Stay safe & well, John dear.
