In college all day then met my family for a pre Christmas supper at The Crown. The meal was organised as my sister in law Jayne won’t be with us on Christmas Day, and the meal was rather good.
Being on home turf, I drank five large Cruzcampo beers and felt quite pissed on the way home.
Christmas has started
Five beers, I would have had to be carried home.
ReplyDeleteWere you driving! ? Or walking home, maybe. So lovely to be with your family, you are blessed to have them nearby and filled with holiday cheer [beer].
ReplyDeleteAh, wonderful. Love the photo of you. Those are the types of photos my mother always took, except she chopped the TOPS of our heads off, not the sides.
ReplyDeleteThe food (and the company) looks good. Glad you enjoyed it, but I hope you don't regret those five beers tomorrow! xx
ReplyDeleteYou almost made it into the picture! Five beers - perhaps the glasses are quite small? I too would have had to be carried home after that, with at least one stop to pee!

The company looks wonderful and the plates and beverage glass look delicious. You seem to be somewhat missing but will say that's one way of staying well hydrated. Hope the possible after-effects aren't regrettable.
ReplyDeleteDo I see a festive jumper on you?
Hugs!
It's the season to be jolly....
ReplyDeleteTomorrow might be a bit dull due to after effects of all the jolly.
Looks like you were wearing a nice jumper!
ReplyDeleteThe photographer seems to have done a pretty good job of almost cropping you out. It's looking good in "The Crown" these days.
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate to have
ReplyDeletefamily living close enough to get together,I hope you, sleep well and awaken
feeling fortunate -Mary
I presume 'cruzcampo' translates as 'camp cruising'.
ReplyDeleteI love that part of Christmas where the busier times ease off and the enjoyable moments, especially with family, begin.
ReplyDeleteAnd so Christmas starts, lovely :-) xx
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me. The five beers show that you enjoyed yourself
ReplyDeleteFive beers, I could not get even two down, if I managed five, I would need to stop and toss my cookies on the way home. Glad you enjoyed the beginning of your holidays. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThat's the best bit about living in a village isn't it, the pub is usually within walking distance. I bet there were a few swerves into garden walls on the way home though. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun, and nice 15 minute walk home. I haven't had that much to drink in years.
ReplyDeleteNo harm, no foul, and happy spirits abounded. I hope.
ReplyDeleteI got a smile as 'pissed' means being angry around these parts.
