Mary’s with Child?

At 8 pm last night Polish Monika called around with some Polish food all wrapped neatly . I was touched by her kindness. At 10pm there was a knock on the front window, it was Mrs Trellis gayly waving a chocolate Santa, ever one to make a final entrance, her joviality moved me.

I made a Sherry trifle and spent the evening watching tv and messaging friends not caught up with before Christmas

Mary has ripped the cushion back out of the kitchen reading chair, she is also suddenly restless and moody
( well more moody that normal) it took me ages to realise that she’s nesting.
I’m presuming it’s a phantom pregnancy given her age
Which means I have my own Virgin Mary

But I’m not at all sure,

The trifle looks just right for a festive dessert.
Happy Christmas to you, John. I hope it's a good day xo

Very envious of the sherry trifle, enjoy. Poor Mary it may just be a fart in a bonnet😉. Jan in Castle Gresley

Poor little Mary. Which just goes to prove - there is always SOMETHING at Christmas! How lovely to have Christmas Eve callers; Trelawnyd does not want you to feel alone and lonely at Christmas. Over the past few days your community has proved it's generous and old fashioned heart. As have you. The true spirit of Christmas. Have a wonderful one, and onwards and upwards for 22025. To Tiny Tim the season - "and God bless us all!"

For the first time in a long time I’m feeling a bit of that Christmas spirit - a little happy, a little anticipatory, a little settled. Why? I don’t really know, but it is nice. I wish you a similar lightness this season. Olivia

It could be possible, a 15 year old dog in Grenada gave birth to four pups but all died within about three days.. Why isn’t she spayed? Have a great day, John . Gigi

    1. I was originally going to breed from her but decided not to. The op didn’t happen

  7. I was going to say Mary pregnant, how did that happen? But that would be a bit naive of me! I'd always assumed she'd been spayed. Could you cope with a houseful of puppies?
Your village is full of kind, generous people. That's why you fit in so well! Enjoy that trifle, and remember to tuck a tea towel under your chin when you eat it! xx

More like Mary I than the Virgin I would think. Merriest of Christmases to you and all you hold dear, human and otherwise. ❤️

Happy Christmas, John! What a pretty trifle and what a delight for you to be surprised by Monika and the charming Mrs Trellis.
If this is a false pregnancy for dear Mary, hope it's easy on her.
Ta for your lovely and always wonderful blog, dear friend!

    Hugs!

My cat made little nests like that after she'd been spayed. 'My kittens are coming," sadly no.

  17. You have had a visit now from two wise women bearing gifts, if there is a third , you may just have something there.
Keep on with the stories ...so entertaining for real life.

  18. Bless that chorus! Not only a wonderful, energize rendition, but not easy even for a native speaker at that pace. The Three Kings are following the Star of Trelawnyd with gifts for Mary’s baby. So exciting. Although I hope they all bring gold this time.

    Dear John,
Have you got a stethoscope? Listen at the uterine horn, on her sides by the lower ribs.
    Best wishes,

Poor Mary. As for you you're irresponsible and cruel.
Writing a story about it as if it's something to be celebrated.
