Wednesday
My supervision day followed by my personal counselling
I met Chic Eleanor for breakfast
I haven’t seen her since she moved from the village
“My Darling John” echoed around the cafe
And people turned to see her hug me, the pashmina swishing like a cape
And they smiled
It seems like Chic Eleanor is one of those people who can light up any room. How wonderful for you that she is your friend. We all need someone to call us darling and give us a hug! xx
ReplyDeleteI think we all need a Chic Eleanor in our lives. You are blessed to have her in yours. Ranee
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to start the day, John! Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving. Your blog is one of the things I am thankful for. xo
ReplyDeleteI too am thankful for John and the critters!

Where did Eleanor move to and why? I suppose she was driven out by her fierce love rival - the redoubtable Joyce Trellis.
ReplyDeleteAh, the lovely Eleanor seems to brighten up every room, and mood.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful way to start your day: Chic Eleanor and a wonderful hug! I was going to say what others have said, lucky you and why/where did she move? Perhaps not too far away since you met for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of your day is as delightful.
Hugs!
A wonderful start to a good day!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt made me feel good just reading that, she must make your heart swell with pride as she walks towards you after a greeting like that. She sounds like the friend we all need.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Chic Eleanor had moved. Glad you got together to bask in the elegance!
