My group today ( in part)
Last day in University today.
It was nice that all of us are through with no drop outs.
We start again September 10th and all have summer placements as trainee counsellors.
Tomorrow I meet my supervisor in the morning, then village leader Ian in the afternoon to sort out this year’s Flower Show.
I think I’m off to the cinema at teatime too
I would like this photo of villager Jenny with her prize winning jam from last years show to be on the front of this year’s schedule
What do you think?
Jenny's picture captures a lot of drama and emotion for sure, but I can't tell what kind of jam it was, which adds an element of mystery.

We shall see if my compatriot agrees

ReplyDeleteSchool is out!!!!!!!!!!!! How glorious. Hope your placement is close to home.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to ask Jenny if using her photo is okay with her. Just sayin'!
Hugs!
I have already Babs , last year when it was taken , but I will again
DeleteJenny looks pleased....
ReplyDeleteReally????
DeleteWell done on getting through your first year. Take a pat on the back from me!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is great. How excited would Jenny have been had she won first prize? 🏆 xx
She would have wet herself
DeleteCongratulations on being a trainee counselor!
ReplyDeleteIf Jenny has a sense of humor she may not mind that photo being on the schedule,if it were me,though, I would want to be asked first, and would ask you to use a more flattering photo of me .. -Mary
In five years since I’ve been retired I’ve now
DeleteTrained as a palliative care nurse, and now a counsellor
Mary I did ask her on the day , but emotions were running high
DeleteCongratulations on successfully finishing your first year. Now on to being a trainee councillor, very good. Madrid soon, exciting. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThank u gigi
DeleteWonderful feeling when you have made it through the first year. How many hours do you have to do in your placement? I love the picture and if it can't be used how about one of the funny shaped veg and fruit that were entered over the years.
ReplyDeleteWe have to do 100 hours practice and have supervision 1.5 hours every four weeks
DeleteCongratulations on Last Day and Summer Placement - Jackie
ReplyDeleteCheers Jackie
DeleteCongratulations to you and all your classmates! Another term successfully done & dusted.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best during your trainee counsellorship this summer!
Thank you , very kind x
DeleteThat photo is PERFECT, if she agrees to its use. It captures the pure joy and surprise of winning! Congrats on completing your university term and good luck with your summer counselling placement!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, second place is still "winning" as far as I'm concerned!
DeleteThank you Debra xx
DeleteIt’s a different photo aimed at attracting a different punter?
ReplyDeleteLee
A wider entry group for sure
DeleteThat photo should definitely be on the schedule and any other promotional material!
ReplyDelete❤️🥰
DeleteI think you should ask Jenny for her permission. It is a great picture that captures something of the essence of village flower shows. I hope she won't mind.
ReplyDeleteI did ask her last year and she agreed but memories can be short , , I will check
DeleteYes - It's fun and brings a fresh approach to the event x 🍰
ReplyDeleteCheers flis
DeleteJenny looks like she's a lot of fun x
ReplyDeleteA wild card
DeleteThat's a cracking example of what the village show is all about. Immortalise Jenny in all of her glory; to act as a reminder of what it's all about! Congratulations on getting through this semester with all of your contempories intact! Such and achievement you are all on your way.
ReplyDeleteYou have encapsulated exactly what I think
DeleteI think Jenny looks like fun! I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteThank u xx
DeleteShe looks a riot
ReplyDeleteKeith
Xx
She is Keith
DeleteNo ,she is not Keith. She is Jenny and she should have won first prize for her animation and personality. Never mind about the jam.
DeleteCongratulations, John! You have done it!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes- 100% yes on that picture.
Xx
DeleteYour group picture didn’t appear the first time I looked. Congratulations to everyone. Fun photo!
ReplyDeleteThey are a nice group , and there’s another 9
DeleteI bet Jenny will not mind at all, but I'd be sure to ask her. It really just captures the pure 'fun' of it all, doesn't it.
ReplyDeleteHappy last day of term. I can't wait to find out how your summer placement goes.
Congrats! Kathy
ReplyDeleteYes, that picture would be great, but do remove the head over her shoulder first!
ReplyDeleteYour group photo at end of term makes me think of how much you have already achieved when times have been so hard.
ReplyDeleteJenny's photo would be a good one for the programme I agree.
Love the idea for the front of the programme. The idea that a picture is worth a thousand words comes to mind John. She is saying 'If I can win second prize anybody can' but I hope she is thinking 'I'll try to for first next year!'
ReplyDeleteWell done on completing the first semester. I hope that your placement goes well.
ReplyDelete'School's out for Summer ....' YAY!!
ReplyDeleteYes, that photo would be perfect for the schedule, with her permission of course. :-)
Ha! Yeah, that photo is definitely a winner. :)
