Radishes at Choir

Only at a Welsh Country Choir
I walked in after nearly a year away and was presented with a handful of radishes from Alto Diane fresh from her garden.
Like all supportive groups , It took off roughly where I left it.
Gentleman Farmer nodded brusquely and whispered “ You’re back then”which was sweet and Heulwen , Di and Claire gave me a big hug.
Jamie and his 1940s RAF moustache welcomed me back too, but quietly as I left.
And clutching my song sheets, radishes and water bottle I felt just a little emotional as I turned for home

  1. The radishes are lovely! You've brought a smile to my lips and tears of joy to my eyes this afternoon. Fingers-crossed that your next bit of coursework falls on non-choir days.
    Be well, John dear.

  8. Try frying those radishes in a bit of butter 🧈 ... sliced, of course. They are quite tasty done that way!

  9. This is all grace. The human connection, the singing, the gifts. That's what I think, anyway.

What a lovely welcome back to choir and it's clear you voice has been missed. From your title, I wondered if the radishes were shared around the choir before singing and that that would be nigh on to impossible, radishes tasting as they do!
    Enjoy!

    Hugs!

  17. Wow, is it really a year since you have been to choir! Time certainly flies. How nice to be welcomed back with home grown gifts. It's nice to be missed! I wish I could sing... but sadly I sound like a strangled frog... sigh.

Smiled at the radish welcome John - good old country way of saying welcome back - actions speak louder than words.
