My friend Ruth and I had planned to go last year to meet our mutual friend Ben Who lives there with his family , but alas that wasn’t to be
Now I’ve heard that my great niece is going to her friends Wedding in Korea
How lovely she looks too in the traditional Hanbok wedding outfits
Next year , after Rome, Venice and Barcelona , I’m going
My great niece Ellie, far right
Yes, you must go! Ellie looks lovely in her Korean dress, as do the other ladies. What an experience for her. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful plans you have for travel in the coming years!
ReplyDeleteSllie looks beautiful as do her riends. Hope she has a wonderful time on this trip.
Hugs!
South, not North, I hope...
ReplyDeleteOf course, North Korea doesn’t make disaster movies

DeleteWatch this space (the world) for a North Korean disaster movie?
DeleteAre you and Ellie going to travel together? I was in South Korea about 10 years ago for 3 days at the tail end of a trip to Japan. But I was sick as a dog with flu the whole time I was in Seoul, so the only thing I saw was my hotel room, alas. On the final day I was thankfully well enough again to go sightseeing in the DMZ (demilitarized zone) with the group and then to the airport for our flight home to Canada.
ReplyDeleteI bet Ellie would be glad of grown up accompaniment.
ReplyDeleteEllie will have some recommendations for you when you make your trip to Korea. It will be great to see Ben. I'm sure he knows all the hot spots to be seen in Korea. Ellie is adorable and the wedding party photo is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! And imagine all the great food she will enjoy. On the other hand, dreadful interminable flight.

So delicate and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteElegant and beautiful! Jen
ReplyDeleteI envy you this trip!
ReplyDeleteLovely !
ReplyDeleteI remember some gourmet saying that 'it's impossible to eat badly in Korea', which makes it sound very attractive to me. But I don't suppose that counts for N Korea.
ReplyDeleteThe ladies look beautiful! I hope you manage to visit there one day. I know very little about the place, only having watched some good films from there and seen photos of some of your recipes.
ReplyDeleteEnchanting x 🌺
ReplyDeleteA great year of travel ahead.
ReplyDeleteGetting out to see the world. I want to go to Japan
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful in their wedding outfits. I am inspired by the colours of their clothes and will use the same colours in a painting!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Korea. Japan, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo.
ReplyDeleteLove anything Korean, including Hanbok and it's history, and their awesome makeup and personal care lines.
ReplyDeleteHave only been to Seoul, would like to go back and see more.
John, if you haven't you MUST watch the TV series (2022) called PACHINKO. I read the novel first which is one of my favorites ever, and the TV version is sooooo beautiful, sad, and gorgeous to look at, and you will learn so much interesting S. Korean history
Happy Easter, hope Springtime is blooming in Trelawnyd.
