The little stinker just wants to make sure we're all watching. I'm so glad. You can keep the TV sob fest. (SG loves those, too. I tell him life is depressing enough.)
You should say, "Oh Albert! Albert! Come to me so I can stroke your furry tummy and watch your tail swishing about!" just as Queen Victoria did all those years ago.
I once had a cat named Albert. A Gray Silver Tabby was he. I rescued him as a kitten from a bucket of used cooking fat outside the back door of a mom and pop restaurant. He had almost drowned in the congeled mass. I took him home and spent hours getting him warm to melt the fat feeding him roast beef the whole time. We had 18 years together and he died in my lap trying to eat roast beef. I woke up to a blustery winter day. I crawled back into bed 12 hours ago and been doing absolutely nothing but reading random blogs and realizing that we are all alot alike in many ways. We laugh and we cry. We love to share our good fortunes and to cry at our losses in life. We all have little crazy things we like to do and eating our own versions of comfort food is one. I have to laugh at how many bloggers do not sit on their beds in their 'street clothes', change sheets daily, and will not eat or drink in their beds not even for love or money.. Their was one guy who had been sitting on the crapper eating a PB&J blogging about his health issues! I have had 3 mugs of a very strong Welsh tea while reading blogs and have now had 3 doses of hydrocodone for my chronic pain. I think reading the bloggers posts are a better pain reliever. The cold weather is killing me. Enjoy your sobfest with the pets. I'm going to raid the ice box and fill my tummy. Bless you all out there in bloggerland.
Glad Albert is better, friends are tough to have sick or injured. My granddaughter, Fiona, the now 13 year old who was born with a giant omphalocele, now has covid. Although she's escaped most if not all the usual problems with that condition, her immune and genetics are likely compromised. I worry about that now at night. When I need a sob fest, I look at what's going on in Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, and my own US, watching our democracy slip slidin' away. Cheers, John.
Albert Telling you that he loves you - the head butting. Am so pleased for you both x Molly my older cat is not overly affectionate and head butts me when she wants attention or wants to be with me. Mischief her daughter, just climbs up.
The title of this post caused my heart to skip a beat in fear of the worst. The first sentence brought a smile and tear of joy to my eyes. So glad Albert is back to his cantankerous head-butting self. Best news of the weekend!
Yay! That picture delights me - I thought he was on his way out. He must've been feeling pretty crook - a feline Covid perhaps? Your window scheme has been a real winner - well done. I wonder whether letting people write a brief tribute to a local identity or family member for a donation, and publishing it somehow mighty dray in more? Less expensive than the stained glass, but still personal. Just a thought.
Albert's head bump says, "All is well." Animal Shelters are charities that I support. Many animals, through no fault of their own live in these shelters.
I'm so happy to hear Albert is back to his old self. So sweet with the loving little head butt. I know he wouldn't have it but I would love to give him a grand old snuggle and a kiss a top his head. Ranee (MN) USA
That picture is a sight for sore eyes! Yay, Albert's back in good form. Thank goodness; I had thought the poor lil bugger was a gonner. Give him a smooch from me ..very happy he is on the mend.
I am trying to catch up on a few blogs (eyes don't work) but my heart was pounding as I looked at each post for news of Albert ! I am very relived to read this news. On your last post I forgot to ask was your Korean Pancakes the Scallion ones ? my favorite ones.
