  13. We occasionally watch a TV programme about buying homes in the country. Inevitably the places where they search are 'Areas of outstanding natural beauty'. I'm wondering if in Britain there is anywhere that isn't.

A quick Google will tell you that most of the the UK is not in an AOB. The map is interesting, with some areas very under served.

Love the fact that you stated you only occasionally watch such TV programmes…as if they are chocolate biscuits. Very nice but to be rationed.

  16. Brief and unseasonably mild respite coming on Sun, which will be ever so welcome, followed by a return to colder though 'normal' Winter temps up to and over Xmas. Still, it'll be a mercy to have a rest from the frosty nights even for while.

  17. That lovely feeling when it's very still and cold outside and cosy indoors! Your lights are delightful. It's so much about the lighting I think and I wish I were better at arranging mine. Beautiful scene outside too.
