Request From The Trelawnyd Community Association

Is there anyone in the village in a position to support all of the good work achieved by the
Trelawnyd Community Association  ( TCA)
We need helping hands in every area of the association and volunteers can contribute as little or as much as they are able
The Youth Club, Village Pond Initiative, Coffee Mornings and recent Casino night
all have been successful and popular and there are many more community based activities in the pipeline.

  1. I'm sure there will be some stalwarts of the community who are happy to help out.🤞 If not, I know of a community-minded hospice nurse who'll rally a few troops! xx

There is no greater attribute than to be willing to help as you're able to. May the hall be packed on Dec. 3!

    Hugs!

  4. I think it's lovely that people help in their communites - It seems to me though some can end up shouldering the weight of far too much if they are not carefull x

  5. It's wonderful to see a community thriving; all to often the older ones leave and the ones left behind get apathetic. A vibrant community with lots going on is something to be proud of. Well done.

The village I live in is about half the size of yours. It is a struggle to have enough fund raising activities to keep the village hall going - an old Victorian school house that costs a fortune to heat.

Would be interested to know what activities you have planned. We tend to stick to: film nights, quiz nights, Christmas party, race night and a valentines dinner….sounds like a lot but insurance on the hall is nearly £1,000 a year.

Don’t forget licensing requirements if you are going to hold a film night.

  7. Wish I could be there and join in the fun! I do volunteer in a museum that operates out of an 1856 Methodist church -- I sympathize with anyone who copes with "vintage village" buildings and their quirks. (We suspect folks carried small furry pets into services to keep their hands from freezing...)

  8. I think it is wonderful that your community has so many activities. We don't have anything like that here, except through organized religion.

  11. You have an impressive community spirit. Recruiting more people to volunteer is an excellent way to expand all efforts and share the workload.

  12. I once went to a (Shropshire) Village Youth Club meeting, and came away as Chairman. I'd been bamboozled into taking charge, without my even being aware. Anyway, I took the bull by the horns and we did some great things.

  13. I once started as a helper at a children's group and ended up being Chairman, setting out the toys, making teas and washing up and then clearing away while everyone went off home. No one wanted to commit to even one thing a month and I tried to explain that if all did a tiny bit occasionally it would be wonderful. It wore me down in the end. Am sure your village will be able to give whatever help they are able to and will have lots of fun too.

  14. Glad you hear that you have some new recruits already. Someone on our town Facebook group was moaning at the fact that even though we have numerous festivals and fairs there wasn't a Food Festival and why didn't someone start one. A town stalwart quickly answered 'Would you like to set one up then?' The lack of reply and silence was deafening.

    1. I learned the skill of turning back great ideas to the great-idea proposer for execution early in my career as head of our condo association. Nothing like a confrontation with the possibility of having to take personal responsibility--it's the ultimate reality check.

    2. Have to add though, that when a group gets it that if each person contributes a bit to just keeping things going; well, it keeps things going and it's wonderful.

  15.  Hello Blog Admin and anyone reading this , I was diagnosed of herpes and Hiv at the age of 24, and it runs my life until I came to know of Dr Itua herbal center- thankfully after drinking Dr itua herbal medicines for two weeks I'm completely cured which really helped me now I've had no limit how much I do massively. I had two jobs, one full time and one part time, have my horse to care for and would also help friends with their horses. Have since had to accept that I only have one job (to take care of my health) and still care for my horse with help... Dr Itua also cures all sorts of chronic illness and diseases like Herpes,Hiv/Aids,Cancer,Kidney Disease,Liver Diseases,Hepatitis,Lupus,HPV,Diabetes,COPD, And other health conditions anyone may have in their body. Dr Itua uses his herbal medicineTo cure those diseases.
