Apart from theatre tickets, oh and a new carpet washer, my only real indulgence is my subscription to Disney +.
This will come to an end in eight weeks or so with the final airing of the last season of The Walking Dead.
I will be sad to see it go, but it’s time it did.
The last season has now morphed into a war film, with our multicultural and predominantly female “ family” set up as the French Resistance in WW2
The zombies are only a side threat. Revolting set decorations.
Halloween miss en scene
I’ve followed the series from Frank Darabont’s seminal first episodes and carried on watching this morning with my bucket of coffee and Roger cocking his head at all of the zombie grunting
Like all good friends, I will stay to the end
That's funny. I thought "The Walking Dead" was a documentary about Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng.
ReplyDeleteHi ho ho
DeleteIs Andrew Lincoln still in it? Not that I've ever seen a single second of it. Don't even know what channel it used to be on.
ReplyDeleteNo he left to make a zombie feature film which didn’t materialised
DeleteGet the T-shirts while you can
ReplyDeleteAll booked on ebay
DeleteI applaud your tenacity. We gave up when the whisperers appeared (or shortly thereafter).
ReplyDeleteI need to see if my favs make it, Jerry, carol , Lydia and little judith
DeleteSounds as though Roger is getting addicted too so good its the last of it.
ReplyDeleteHe’s going through “I need to protect my bitches” phase at the moment
DeleteYou could be talking in a foreign language, as far as I'm concerned, but glad you (and Roger) have enjoyed it! xx
ReplyDeleteI know, but it’s part of me and part of my journal
DeleteIt won't be the end. I've heard they are indeed mixing amonst us now in a High Street near you. Generally frequenting the Travel Money Section in the Post Office. Or possibly propping up the reception area, front of house at the GP's surgery, or at the Vets or indeed posing as a client in these places. Why, they are even manning phones for EDF as l write this. Be afraid, be very afraid! Tess x
ReplyDeleteLol, stick with me kid , I know exactly what to do
DeleteYou're a loyal viewer. I hope the series ends with a bang, not a whimper.
ReplyDeleteThere are three spin off series starting soon , so I will have a few zombie adventures to carry on with
DeleteI haven't seen your series but I try to escape quickly from situations when I sense a negative vibe vibe - breathing becomes difficult x 🚣
ReplyDeleteYou’ll be safe when zombies attack then flis
DeleteI have never seen this show. Sounded too scary for me!
ReplyDeleteIt’s scary in patches
DeleteI lost interest when Beta and the herd of zombies were attacking after Alpha was beheaded. Too much of characters talking, not enough action. I'm just waiting to learn who survives in the end and what kind of society is left for them. And btw, how was Beta defeated and who defeated him?
ReplyDeleteDaryl stabbed him through they eyes with two knives
DeleteI've never seen it and that's okay. Am glad it was a delight for you and many others. Yep, get those Tee shirts now or never (except for eBay!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Will do babs
DeleteHow funny that even Roger picks up on the sound effects of WD. Time to add a new T-shirt?
ReplyDeleteYes, I need a few more, I’ve only got 16
DeleteMy husband and I have been hanging on too, (more out of loyalty than anything else.) I long for the days when watching Darrel battle his way out of a zombie attack had me sitting on the edge of my seat.
ReplyDeleteNew smarter zombies are also on the way
DeleteI lost interest in the show and don't remember where I left off. Is Rick coming back for the finally?
ReplyDeleteI wondered if he will turn up…the real question is who, out of our family will die in the finale
DeleteI only ever watched the first season and then a couple of the second season episodes, then I jumped ship and left the zombies to do their thing. I'm glad you've enjoyed it though. Now you need to collect the t-shirts before they become collectors items and the prices skyrocket.
ReplyDeleteThe ones without gravy stains
DeleteWe lost interest about the time when Maggies husband /boyfriend? was brutally killed.. I remember hearing Andrew Lincoln got picked up in a helicopter... what? ever see him again? Anyway it was good when it was good.. when they started trying to settle in communities they lost me a bit.. I enjoyed them on the road , maybe searching for answers for the cause of the zombies.. otherwise it just all seems pointless..
ReplyDeleteYes it was the turning point for many. Andrew left the show in season 9 i think and was promised at least 2 feature films. They didn’t materialise so the show runners offered him a six episode mini series
DeleteI have also watched from the beginning and was gutted when they moved it to Dysney which I don't have. I am waiting for the D.V.D. to come out to watch the final series.
ReplyDeleteI’m worrying about dvds , you don’t seem to be able to buy them anymore …all gone from supermarkets
DeleteI imagine dvds will go away eventually.. thats all we buy though.. we don't do streaming.. Eventually maybe my tv may go away.. We hardly ever turn it on now... I may soon have new space in my living room.. imagine that!
DeleteWe have not watched it at all. However, the trailers for the next season now feature a well groomed man in a waist coat flipping a coin, and a bunch of people in what appear to be Star Wars soldier costumes. The plot must have really taken a turn recently.
ReplyDeleteYes like I said its more a war film now with our group at odds with a despot and nazi regime
Deleteso relieved you changed 'ingenue'' to 'indulgence', I puzzled over that weird auto correct earlier.
ReplyDeleteLol, it bothered me too
DeleteYup, I've been waiting to see what happened with Rick and the helicopter crew.
ReplyDeleteThe Nazi symbolism is strong in this series. The banners, the sturm troopers, the building with a flag on top on the ads to make you think of the Reichstag.
I want Judith and Darryl to survive. I want Rick and a helicopter.
