What a stunning, stunning tribute. And I believed him - Trudeau clearly adored her. And respected her. And remembers her with such affection and respect. Thank you for sharing this John My husband is currently having a scan , he has metastatic prostate cancer and the cancer is no longer responding to treatment, but today all I can do is weep for Elizabeth Siobhan
It won't let me change from Anonymous but as a Canadian, I have rarely been more proud of Justin. His feeling were clearly expressed and his grief was palpable. He expressed what many of us here in Canada are feeling after the loss of such a great woman.
Very moving indeed. How could you not admire and respect the woman? But he spoke with such affection, it makes me sad all over again. But thank you for posting the clip, I would have missed it.
Such an open heart Trudeau has to be admired and thanked for speaking so sincerely for us all. Such and grievous time for us all. But my goodness, what outpouring of affection and admiration. Does the collective heart so much good in these strange days, dark for too many reasons, to see such soul and backbone are still there, ready to stand strong despite all.
Trudeau was not the only world figure to become a little emotional but it just felt so genuine to me and I like that he made no apology nor tried to hide what he felt.
Spoken with true feeling and affection. She was obviously loved and admired in all corners of the world. xx
