Thanks for the giggle. I well remember learning to read with Janet and John. No politically correct stuff then. John helped Daddy in the garden and Janet helped Mummy in the kitchen. I don't recall ever thinking there was anything wrong with that, but then, I did both. I can now wield a washing up brush and a lawn mower with equal dexterity. xx

How can anyone listen to this without smiling broadly - or more? So many of us still miss dear Tel oh SO much - and this clip illustrates just one example of why.
How funny! Back in the late 1950s, we learned to read in simple boood eppeld by Dick, Jane, and their little sister Sally, Mommy and Daddy. How bland. Sorry for the invisible typos.
