Tender Heart

I didn’t finish choir tonight.
I was stood next to the village hall’s burning hot radiator and it set me coughing my post covid cough and made me feel quite faint.
We had finished the tricky Tender Heart so I sat outside listening to the singing before coming home.
I only missed 20 minutes.
Heulwen from the tenors, called in this evening to check if I was ok.
I had told fellow bass Brian I was taking some air but I’d forgotten he’s deaf in his right ear.

I bought a hydrangea and some bedding plants for Trendy Carol today as a thank you for dog sitting.
Tomorrow I’ve booked a ticket to see Benediction
CBM measured the patio dimensions and will give me a quote for the new roof.
He liked how I’ve titivated the bathroom

  2. That's just lovely. I hope the cough isn't persistent. Being asthmatic I know what it's like to cough and cough! Nice about the gifts for Trendy Carol, I would definitely appreciate a nice hydrangea!

I was poorly for weeks with covid, and coughed so much that I damaged the lining of my throat - that took a few months to heal, and I still get a cough from time to time. Take care.

  8. Is there any chance that CBM might leave his wife for you? Then you wouldn't have to pay for home improvements.

  10. I know I'm preaching to the converted, but look after yourself. I bet sitting in the evening air, listening to the choir, was somewhat magical. xx

  11. Look after yourself John. Getting over Covid can be as bad as catching it. You need rest.

  12. Covid seems to take a long time to recover from fully. The temptation is to try to just get back to normal quickly. Hope you can find some R&R time somewhere, wherever possible.

Trendy Carol is wonderful and such a good friend.

  13. Oh, I caught the omicron back in December, despite two shots I had taken hoping to avoid it. Fortunately, it was no more serious than a bad cold and, symptom-wise, seemed to last only about two weeks. I've since had a third shot and will get a fourth when that's due. Now I just have to avoid getting the monkeypox.

  15. All this updating of your place had me get a business card of a company doing work next-door. I am thinking of getting my cabinets redone.
