Blogger has been playing up.
Thanks to Rachel, who put out the word, it’s been diverting many of your comments into my spam folder without any justification. It seems to be a regular problem with many bloggs
So apologies for that . I will endeavour to check my folders more regularly in future
Bloody hell. How many comments were in your spam?
ReplyDeleteI stopped at 60
DeleteWho is in control, us or technology? I find it all a bit scarey.
ReplyDeleteBig Brother, or perhaps Big Blogger running our lives without our permission!!
ReplyDeleteThe latest pain in the ass -- thanks, Blogger software!
ReplyDeleteI hear of the spam problem too-When I was approaching the time for final arrangements for adopting my tich the lady phoned me quite anxious and said "Please will you check your spam box or folder"- I didn't know what on earth to do-it-yourself had to pass it on to the person in the office x
ReplyDeleteand I certainly did not type d.i.y either - the World's gone mad x
ReplyDeleteWhat a bother! Perhaps this is google getting its comeuppance for changing the comment format?

ReplyDeleteOh Oh! I just checked the spam folder. Fortunately, only two that should not have been. A recent one from you Debra (She Who Seeks). I think Blogger is punishing you for dissing them. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI thought at first you were talking about Spam. I used to like a Spam fritter, in the days when I ate meat. Oh, now I'm singing the Spam song from Monty Python! I wonder if Blogger will rectify things or just leave you to sort it yourself?
ReplyDeleteOh my, that boy in the cartoon looks like your nephew!
ReplyDeleteI found nine good comments in my spam folder...They are quite efficient.. possibly too efficient at finding spam in blog comments and emails...but better than the other way!! Must just remember to check 🙂

ReplyDeleteAnd from your heading I was expecting a recipe for spam fritters,
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's apparently been a huge problem for a lot of us -- little did we know! Thanks to Rachel for spreading the word!
ReplyDeleteI remember that when I used Blogger
ReplyDeleteI have made several comments on other blogs that disappeared recently. John, I had trouble seeing that drop down arrow that led to my spam folder. It was so small and light colored that my eyes missed it at first. Blogger seems to enjoy messing with us.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting a post about what we used to call "Popped Ham and Chork" when we were kids!
ReplyDeleteThere are settings you can choose to disable spam and junk folders, so that you do get to see everything, at least there are in my systems. The technology can be tailored to our needs, but we do need to learn how to use it.
ReplyDeleteFried slices of "Spam" with buttered Jersey Royals and garden peas is one of my favourite meals. I don't keep my "Spam" in a spam folder - I put it on a shelf in the pantry.
ReplyDeleteI just checked my spam folder and found several comments. Thanks for the heads up.
