Spam

 Blogger has been playing up.

Thanks to Rachel, who put out the word, it’s been diverting many of your comments into my spam folder without any justification. It seems to be a regular problem with many bloggs

So apologies for that . I will endeavour to check my folders more regularly in future

What a bother! Perhaps this is google getting its comeuppance for changing the comment format?

  9. Oh Oh! I just checked the spam folder. Fortunately, only two that should not have been. A recent one from you Debra (She Who Seeks). I think Blogger is punishing you for dissing them. LOL.

  10. I thought at first you were talking about Spam. I used to like a Spam fritter, in the days when I ate meat. Oh, now I'm singing the Spam song from Monty Python! I wonder if Blogger will rectify things or just leave you to sort it yourself?

  12. I found nine good comments in my spam folder...They are quite efficient.. possibly too efficient at finding spam in blog comments and emails...but better than the other way!! Must just remember to check 🙂

  15. Yeah, it's apparently been a huge problem for a lot of us -- little did we know! Thanks to Rachel for spreading the word!

  17. I have made several comments on other blogs that disappeared recently. John, I had trouble seeing that drop down arrow that led to my spam folder. It was so small and light colored that my eyes missed it at first. Blogger seems to enjoy messing with us.

There are settings you can choose to disable spam and junk folders, so that you do get to see everything, at least there are in my systems. The technology can be tailored to our needs, but we do need to learn how to use it.

  20. Fried slices of "Spam" with buttered Jersey Royals and garden peas is one of my favourite meals. I don't keep my "Spam" in a spam folder - I put it on a shelf in the pantry.
