Bucket Of Coffee

 Bucket of coffee.
It’s a bright morning.
Bracing in the lane.
The wind turbine over the valley at Marian Mawr is working again and there is enough breeze to have it turning, albeit slowly.
The woodpecker is busy.
And early too, as it’s just past six.
I am pink,
Pink after a hot shower
And I feel as clean as you only used to feel the Sunday night before school.
Dorothy is sulking,
And has adopted a strange position in the kitchen reading chair
She knows I’m off to work

  1. Poor little Dot with that "Why-do-you-DO-this-to-me ?" look! Badly needs comforting and reassurance.

    2. Such an enviable ability dogs and cats have, to live 'in the moment' (unless something has just affected them deeply, of course).

Doggie doing a guilt trip on you, but don't they all? Same bright and bracing day here in Yorjshire, plus blackbirds singing their hearts out. Has a good day, John!

  4. She doesn't want you to leave her and she is clearly letting you know! My cats do the same thing when I get ready to go out. Animals are quite accomplished at giving guilt trips!

  13. It is good to hear you are enjoying the new facilities. You could take the old girl to work with you. I bet someone there would snuggle up with her.

"And I feel as clean as you only used to feel the Sunday night before school." Or as clean as you may feel as a gay man on a Saturday evening before going out.

  18. Poor Dorothy, that look!!

Oh I used to love the Sunday night bath, but not so much the early bedtime when school was only a few hours away. I'm glad the newly refurbed facilities are proving effective at yours.

Oh, the reproach in Dorothy's eyes! She does look like she's found a comfortable place for her sulk.
Wisihngg you a good shift and little traffiic on the road as you drive home.
It's good to start the day after a lovely shower, is it not?

    Hugs!

  20. Having the luxury shower makes a great start for the day.
It prepares you for the world. Dorothy definitely has that "look." If I am out for the latter part of the day and come home for an evening meal, Caesar refuses to eat in the kitchen when I am eating. He eats alone when I've left the room. The message is loud and clear!
