I woke at 1 pm yesterday when Albert opened the curtains in my bedroom and the sun streamed in like Luke Skywalkers lights sabre.
Once awake, I couldn’t settle so donned some very unfetching track suit bottoms and my third best walking dead T shirt and took the dogs up the Gop.
The view down the valley was spectacular as always and the three of us sat on the top of the hill and watched the village until we grew cold, they grew bored and I grew tired again.
When we got home , I made a katsu vegetable curry which took fifteen minutes
And we all went back to bed until it was dark.
Life in the fast Lane
What magnificent views from the Gop! You certainly live in a wonderful area with the sea also so close by.
ReplyDeleteGlad your meal was quick, easy, and delicious and that you could sleep again until dark. Best way to get over the jet-lag like fatigue that is part of coming off nights.
Love the plans you've made to enjoy the days off that are ahead.
Hugs!
Yes one more night then a whole five off
DeleteSurely make you lose your mind.................. got it in my head now
ReplyDeleteHuh?
DeleteThe Eagles.
DeleteYep - soundtrack to a lot of my life, still is :)
DeleteSounds delightful
ReplyDeleteNot very exciting
DeleteSounds like a wonderful day to me! :)
ReplyDeleteA bit bland but ok , the walk was nice
DeleteSometimes the fast lane is the place to be!
ReplyDeleteOh yes , I’m such an innovator
DeleteAt least you know where you are.
ReplyDeleteIt helps
DeleteAs long as you don't hog the fast lane. You'd have me flashing on your tail! Well, you might ask, what else is new.
ReplyDeleteU
A few recipes would be appreciated! Your dishes that you cook up look delicious
ReplyDeletePerhaps that’s another book
Delete“ Cooking with Graybags”
I have this vision of your Walking Dead T shirts all carefully graded for use :)
ReplyDeleteShift work and trying to sleep in the day really can mess up your body rhythms!
They are hung up but not in order , I’m not that anal
DeleteAt least from high up, that village looks bigger than I imagined.
ReplyDeleteIt’s still a tiny place
DeleteYou have a beautiful view of your village from up there. Sometimes, just sitting and looking is just what is needed to re-charge the mental batteries. xx
ReplyDeleteI like the slow lane-and splashing in puddles and skipping x
ReplyDeleteA good community and hill with stunning views..heaven!
ReplyDeleteLove your spectacular views.
ReplyDeleteYou’re not kidding about the view.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the ear worm...
He was a hard-headed man. He was brutally handsome, and she was terminally pretty...
The views are amazing. It would bring such calm and serenity to see it in person.
ReplyDeletePerhaps not exciting, but very beautiful, very peaceful, very satisfying. And the soul needs those things too, in equal measures with excitement.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great view from up there! I'm trying to work out where your cottage is in that aerial view of the village -- it's harder than I thought it might be.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views! Your curry looks delicious. When pets insist on an early rise, it throws off the norm and mixes up the plan for the day. An early walk was a good solution.
ReplyDeleteIf that view is the fast lane, the slow lane must be spectacular.
ReplyDeleteYee Gods! Between that sweet view, your beloved pets, and that yummy food - what more could one desire? That's contentment as far as I'm concerned. Take care, John.
ReplyDeleteThis idea of getting up and going to bed when you feel likeit is one of the few advantages of living alone I find. Oh and that curry looks good.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, the village is planted in one place, and has edges. You don't get that here, everything sort of peters out or hits a coast or some hills. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeletelove it.Great views too.xx
ReplyDeleteLovely view..a sense of place and belonging..I live in Florida..most of the state seems to be wall to wall people with more coming in every day.
