Raft

Is it me but does my cruet birds atop my sushi plate resemble a Polynesian kontiki-esque raft?

    Propel, propel, propel your craft
    Placidly down the liquid solution
    Ecstatically,ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically
    Existence is just an illusion!

Sorry, learned that decades ago and had to share it.

    Hugs!

  7. It’s you. (No really, it does sort of.) And whether or not it resembles what you think, it’s kind of fun.

  8. For me, food presentation and placement makes a difference and your raft and bird presentation hits the mark. In my opinion, the presentation is as important as the food.

  14. Most definitely, and I've seen the one bods used to recreate the journeying from Hawaiki to NZ here in the National Museum (Te Papa).

    From t'internet=
"Hawaiki – a real island? ... Hawaiki is the traditional Māori place of origin. The first Māori are said to have sailed to New Zealand from Hawaiki. And in Māori mythology Hawaiki is the place where Io, the supreme being, created the world and its first people."

  16. Now that image is in my mind I can't really see anything else! Love your little birds.

Watched an amazing ladies canoe race in a programme about Hawaii last night. It was just beautiful to watch.

  19. Turn the paddles, I mean spoons, sideways. One 90 degrees left, the other 90 degrees right.
