Jug

I’ve now got four days off before nights
I’ve booked Bluebell in for a service and tyre sort out
Cinema with one friend
Lunch with another
Bought this jug on a whim

I’m feeling a bit down despite my friends

  1. Isn't that a charming jug -- love it!

  2. I think January makes a lot of us kind of lost. After the excitement (?) or craziness of the Holiday Season we feel a little let down instead of feeling a slight gentle relief and a time to relax until Spring brings on it's challenges. I also love your pitcher.

  3. Yes January is not a good month in spite of the sunshine. Love the jug.

  4. Such a charming pitcher! Fill it with sunflowers or daisies to cheer you up? I'm sorry you are feeling sad just now.

Yes definitely something mysterious about wanting to meet with another jug! I see John has now deleted that line.

  8. That's a lovely jug John with a nice mix of dogs as I was once told - You perhaps could have just a little time to yourself to recharge your batteries before having more fun with your friends x

What a delightful jug and it will make a happy compliment to your other fish and animal dishes! Enjoy the whimsy!
How about having a few friends over for dinner (or a pot luck) and a DVD movie?

    Hugs!

  10. That is a great jug. Occasionally, I like a day to "drift." Being lost in time and space with no cares is a day to relax and float. Don't over think...just make the decision to relax and float.

  13. Feeling lost here despite my family. Maybe it's just the time of the year or the years of covid or...whatever. We feel what we feel.

  20. Oh I love that jug. And perfect colors for the cottage. I understand feeling lost; you don’t need to be alone to feel lonely. Still glad you have such exceptional friendships.

  21. Love the jug, it's just so you! Blame the lost feeling on the time of year. I always think Jan/Feb are the worst months. We've had Christmas and New Year and it feels like winter should be over - then BAM! the bad weather really hits and spring seems like forever away. Be gentle with yourself. Enjoy the company, whether human or furred. xx

  22. That's a nice cheery jug!
It's that in-between time of year.
We are struggling a bit too, I think a lot of people are...which is not really any consolation, sorry.
Hang on to those friends and family x

  28. That is such a cheerful looking jug. I love the expression on the dogs faces, and one dog has even found himself a stick to taunt the other dogs with.

January won't last too much longer. My birthday is coming up, but a January birthday here in the Midwest is usually on a freezing cold day, often with snow. It looks like we will be skipping the brief January thaw this year due too climate change I guess. I have often thought I should move my birthday celebration day to sometime in May, when I am not feeling as grim as I always do through January. 5 degrees for a low here tonight, and a brisk wind from out of the north.

    Remember,dreary January is almost done.
