Soul Food

The cottage remains cool, almost , but not quite cold…
I’ve been chasing up the fire workmen ….
Mary had the right idea and slipped under the trendy blue Sofa’s throw to sleep
The sight of her brought a lump to my throat

Just returned from choir
We sang some lovely African songs which fed my soul

  2. John, I wonder if you've ever heard Esperanza Spalding vocalizing and playing bass? If not, trust me and check this incredible young woman's beauty and talent...I am very sure you will love her style as much as I. My family has always been in love with music and there are several who vocalize and play instruments. I happened to see her on TV about a week ago and am thrilled to have done so. I'm sure you will find her style soothing your soul. Hugs.

  3. It's cold here too-today the rayburn pilot light went out and won't relight-it does the central heating-the man is busy and can't come yet-it's 30 years old and obsolete-£9000 for a new one-can't fit a new boiler as the room above has somehow got overwhelmed-I blame the ghost-there is a woodburner but tonight it bloody keeps going out-chimney sweep finally arriving next week who couldn't make the previous arranged booking as he got stuck at a job x

  4. Brought a lump to my throat too. It reminded me of your previous Welsh Terrier - can't remember her name.

    Wonderful!
Mary clearly knows how to get cozy!
Hope the workmen get your fireplace and chimney fixed immediately if not sooner.

    Hugs!

  7. Perhaps you should look into getting a space heater to take the chill off a room! Plug into an electrical outlet and turn it on! They certainly help!

  8. That sounds hard. When a room gets cool, everybody feels the chill. Mary has the right idea. Hopefully the chimney repair will get done soon.

  11. OK. At the bottom of the dashboard for our accounting software is a bar graph that shows every month, cash in cash out. It is the single most useful thing in a complex and necessary system. I suggest that you are energy out more than energy in right now. I wish there was something we could do to help. I think you need to receive for a while - your needs bank is depleted. Sending hugs and best wishes from NZ. Only being blunt like this as I hope if you can see it, you can act on it <3

  14. It seems to be very hard to get hold of tradesmen at the moment. They are all booked up and so busy. It's horrible having no proper heating. I hope it can be fixed soon. That's a very telling photo.
The African music sounds wonderful. Glad you could feed your soul. We all need that so much.
