Covid cases seem on the rise in North Wales despite the face coverings
I’ve spent the last couple of hours at work firefighting staff shortages, most of them due to the virus
After much cajoling and some begging I managed to cover most of the gaps but still came home with a headache and very sore feet , which now smell of pedigree chum after Dorothy got let loose with them seconds after eating her supper.
I’m doing a half day overtime on Sunday morning to help but I’m meeting bestie Nu and some friends for dinner in Liverpool on Sunday afternoon and won’t miss that for anything.
I need a gin
Nu and I a decade ago x
It certainly seems potty that with cases on the rise in England, and medical experts saying compulsory mask wearing should be reintroduced, the daft Government are refusing.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely lunch with Nu!
Same here..it is those who are selfish and inconsiderate who cause the problems
ReplyDeleteSame boat here. All across the country hospitals seem to be on the verge of collapse again. Our medical and front workers can't seem to catch a break.
ReplyDeleteThey are on the rise here in the usa. Have fun with Nu.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a gin and a nice sit-down rest.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Sunday with Nu and hope that she doesn't come down with the virus.
ReplyDeleteKnowing my luck
DeleteTry not to overdo it - we don't want you going down with something. xx
ReplyDeleteYou need a break.
ReplyDeleteThe Covid figures are all heading in the wrong direction. I wish the Government would mandate mask wearing in public spaces but - hey, they know best! I'm glad you've saved Sunday afternoon. You need that time out. xx
ReplyDeleteIn Massachusetts, US: We are seeing some break through cases; i.e., people fully vaccinated yet getting covid. They do not die but they are sick. Approval of the vaccine is close to getting approved for ages 5-12. People are wearing masks when indoors and this seems to be helping. Booster shots are available for those 65+. Enjoy your time with Nu. Cherio.
ReplyDeleteI got my first and only Covid test done yesterday and, thank goodness, it came out NEGATIVE! Did it for my own peace of mind because where I live, in this building there is a mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated folks! I have had both shots plus my flu shot, as well!
ReplyDeleteWe have had too many folks testing positive in here ... even the vaccinated ones!
How exhausting to juggle staff and shifts when there are shortages and your poor feet after all of those hours of work.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of you to take on extra hours but am glad you've saved time to play with Nu and friends on Sunday afternoon.
Hugs!
I adore your blog but of late I feel like there needs to be a warning.
ReplyDelete‘This post will involve dogs munching on human psoriasis patches or licking sweaty feet.’
Meanwhile I’ll restrict myself to not reading while eating LOL.
You look good in that old photo. Healthy and mischievous. Anyone who didn't know would think you were a happily married couple proceeding through middle age.
ReplyDeleteGosh I got a jolt at that photo! You have lost weight, but that's a fantastic shot. My advice, to add to everyone else's 2 pence worth - DRINK lots of WATER! Particularly as you're stressed already, you just do not need another infection! Have a lovely catch up with Nu.
ReplyDeleteIt’s an old photo
DeleteThe ultimate slimming tip - get into a time machine...
DeleteHope you don't overdo things with the extra cover at work. Lovely photo of you and Nu!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get away from work early Sunday and you and Nu have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a bestie. It cures what ails ya.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of you and your bestie! Hope you have a fabulous time on Sunday afternoon.
