It’s my last night shift tonight until next Thursday
I’ve technically run out of food except a few tomatoes and apples
I woke at three thirty and couldn’t be arsed going to the shops
So I dig out a small cake out of the freezer ( one that the velvet voiced Linda dropped off) and microwaved it until it was steaming
I ate it with leftovers of ice cream
And watched Antique Roadtrip in my boxers
Sounds like the definitive lazy Sunday to me. Have a good break and try to get your shoulders down to stop holding your ears up. And relax...
ReplyDeleteI love to slob out-I regularly eat unconventional meals -some days healthy-some days not-Yesterday I ate mainly trifle as 2 meal replacements-Very sensibly another meal was salad-luckily I'm at a stage I don't really care about convention-my younger cousin recently said"dear oh dear"-but my daddy says I'm fine-luckily for my sanity I can switch off when things get a bit much x

ReplyDeleteYou will soon have a 5 pack John x
Delete5?
DeleteI know John-but I couldn't remember whether dishy darlings have 4 or 6 on their bulging toned bicep bodies x
DeleteAh, heaven.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on clearing out the deep freeze! It’s a necessary task!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought of doing that John - sounds divine.
ReplyDeleteNeeds must pat x
DeleteAh, perhaps you'll stop to purchase food en route home from this last night shift? We often did that after working nights as it was a delight to go to the grocery when most folks were barely out of bed (except for nurses!).
ReplyDeleteI applaud your yummy meal from the freezer. :)
Hugs!
I’m doing a big shop tomorrow
DeleteI must pay more attention when I read. Especially that first sentence.
ReplyDeleteI scan read too, gets me in trouble
DeleteI remember my mum blitzing a Sara Lee chocolate cake for too long in the microwave. It turned into the most delicious chocolate trifle.
ReplyDeleteYou can't get much better than cake and ice cream!
ReplyDeleteIf there’s cake and ice cream, you have NOT run out of food. What more could you possibly need?
ReplyDeleteLOL at Mitchell. He is, of course, correct.
