  2. You must have felt as if in a nightmare! It was bad enough the fear of the virus but it's terrible what some people have suffered because of their professions. The usual stress but with physical distress added on. I think many places such as hospices and hospitals may have to consider A/C due to hotter summers.

    1. The hardest thing ( apart from the claustrophobia and heat) is the fact you can’t communicate

A very sweaty pig in a condom at times, I should think.

  6. I don't say this often. Hero.

  7. What a nightmare you lived through. New Zealand is concerned the Delta variant might slip through our border controls before we've got everyone vaccinated, but so far we've lived a charmed life and got through two scares without an outbreak. So lucky!

  8. That's a winner John. Perhaps a haiku on PPE as well?

  9. You do not look like a pig in a condom. You look like a fishmonger in a plastic mac... Was that a poem?

All my family work for the NHS.Most people have no idea what nursing and care staff - and all key workers - have gone through. The idea of a pig in a condom may seem funny, but has an awful if ironic reality to it. And the phrase sweating like a pig comes in there somewhere too......

    1. I think all this didn’t help my fainting episodes , I had been in PPE all morning

  11. I started to hyperventilate just reading the list of PPE. The thought of working in it all, in heat, for several hours, is horrendous. You were all heroes before Covid, now you are all SUPERHEROES! xx

  12. The PPE by itself is a hardship of great magnitude. Why can't NASA come up with a temperature controlled/ventilated PPE suit for medical professionals?

    1. They do have some but they are prohibitively expensive and quite rightly only used on some intensive care units

  15. Take care John. I don't know how you can stand to wear all of that, but I know you must wear it. Your patients are thankful that you are there.

  17. Well said. I know we all want to walk away from this pandemic, but it's worth being reminded of just how tough it really was. Love the last line!

Perfect show entry but am ever so sorry there is no a/c in the hospice and all other medical facilities.
I became allergic to latex gloves and had to use non-latex gloves.

    Hugs!

  23. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
