Tomorrow

Came across this video at breakfast
It’s living in my head rent free now

I’m pottering today. The weather has changed drastically, and so I’ve kept the outside jobs to a minimum.
I’ve bought paint. A warm navy for the walls of my bedroom and a soft ivory for the vaulted ceiling and walls.
And I’ve started Giles Brandreth’s biography of Prince Philip which is rare for me for I don’t do royal biographers.
I’m going to the theatre tonight alone to see the cold spy drama A Splinter Of Ice

Thank you Megan

  3. Normally I loathe that sing, but I like his melancholy take on it.
Jennifer Hudson, whom I love, did the same thing with the song: https://www.broadwayworld.com/videoplay/VIDEO-Jennifer-Hudson-Sings-Tomorrow-From-ANNIE-20201024

Love the hopeful song and that amazing voice.
Your choices for paint colors sound perfect and I hope the painting goes well. Be sure to put dinner ingredients in the slow cooker before you start painting!

    Hugs!

  10. Beautiful voice on that young man! The pianist was certainly having a joyful time of it all, too! LOL
Your choice of colors are wonderful ... will definitely need to see pictures when you are done!

He performed it last night on "America's Got Talent" and Sofia Vergara gave him the "Golden Buzzer".

  14. Jimmie Herrod, what a voice! I love Pink Martini. Stunning instrumentals, too. I love the idea of dark blue walls. We tried it in San Diego (called batique blue) but we should have put up new sheetrock. Our 70-year-old walls had settled so much that there were no straight edges left at the joints. We ended up painting over all the blue with an off-white.

    1. I may have that problem

    2. We tried it in a very long hall with 12-foot ceilings and lots of built-ins, plus 5 doors to other rooms. Too many crooked lines and settled moldings where the blue and the off-white met. You should have more success.

    3. It’s an old cottage

    4. But, I imagine not so many door and cupboards to make it look like a mess. I seriously think it will work. If not, what’s another couple of coats of paint?

  15. I have always wanted to paint my bedroom walls a navy color, but have never done it! I am sure it will turn out great!

  16. I wonder .... if the intersect between the wall and ceiling if toooo far off for the eye to cope with, would running a straight line along just under the top of the wall (like 1/2 inch), and painting the ceiling colour just down into it, .... would that straighten it up and act as a trompe-l'oeil? What do you think? I love the idea of a dark blue wall, but there'd be a limit to the wonkiness I could live with!
