"I'll admit I may have seen better days,
but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail,
"(Margo Channing)
Interlude ....I’m at work Again
I’ve got three long shifts together
This just about kills me , what with PPE and the fact that I’m wearing a couple of hats because yesterday I was community working and now I’m on in patients covering sickness
When I was little, my Mom had a Readers Digest box of records 'your Hundred Best Tunes'. The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves was my favourite! Hope you survive the three killer shifts...focus on Wednesday! x
Love Audra. Her Billie Holiday was fantastic. And Snow Patrol! Have not heard them in awhile.... And watch out for those shifts... that's a lot of work. And one too many hats.
It must make it hard having to get to know so many families when you are both out in the community AND in the hospice. Talk about being stretched a bit thin :-(
A wonderful variety of musical treats! Ta. For today and the days ahead, simplify: eat, drink, sleep, feed/walk dogs, feed Albert, and breathe. Oh, and get someone else to assign the work schedules. The person doing it now isn't good at it.
The music is terrific. Thank you. Being stretched to the limit is very hard. I can relate. Please consider a shift toward management/administration or even teaching. With your skills you can do anything!
Thank you for the music John-I've just put my feet up and just lurved Rick James Super freak-I think this came at just the time my disco days ceased due to too much fun and then heavy sedation sadly x
An especial thank you for the Andrea Bocelli and Bryn Terfel piece - This song was a favourite of my late Mother. I hope you have now finished the punishing shifts and can relax with the girls and Albert. Take care and stay safe, Michelle in Wellington, NZ.

ReplyDeleteDoes that mean you're working 36 hours with NO break? Or three days of 12 hours. Hope it goes as well as possible.
