I was thinking of Master Bates from the Good Ship Venus.
Tamsin Greig was wonderful as Miss Bates.
Filmed in beautiful Chilham, my 2 x great grandparents lived in the house that is now Shelly's Tearoom. Thought Master Bates was on Pugwash Tom ��

I cannot bear to watch Emma's treatment of Miss Bates on Box Hill.
You know, I have never seen that movie. I think that I must go back and read the book.
Something is going on with this posting - I can only get the box that should contain a place to check to see it all. So far this morning I have seen it elsewhere, too.
