It's all ups and downs when you're stuck at home and in your head. You definitely need plenty of social stimulation. I, on the other hand, dream of a fortnight at home, buried in my books and phone, and nowhere to go, aside from the shops.
Gosh, don't we know our need for friends this past year! And the value of body language - it's so hard to tell how people are on Zoom. Keep well, keep safe and keep happy.
I'm glad you have zoom meet ups with friends John. I've been part of three zoom chats, two on friends' birthdays and one after my mother in law's funeral with family. Each time I've asked people to move around as it looks like their screen has frozen.... we all end up bobbing from side to side and laughing our heads off !
A year ago, who would have imagined this odd way of living was just around the corner? I'm so thankful for Zoom, Skype, the telephone, and hugs from the folks in my bubble! I'm glad you were cheered by your choir friends and by singing.
My outing this morning was to the dentist. Quite the social chitchat with the dental hygienist cleaning my teeth. The dentist wears a giant space helmet-type contraption, altho, he could use a Darth Vader speaker so I could hear him better! Glad you are well!
Friends...support...acceptance...love. Make life worth living. x

DeleteExcept that I have to go to work every day!

ReplyDeleteThose connections are so important. (By the way, how do you keep your glasses on top of your head? Mine fall off.)
ReplyDeleteInteresting how face to face contact is some much more life enhancing than just talking and texting, good though those are!
ReplyDeleteAgree about face to face contact even if it is only through Zoom.
ReplyDeleteVideo conferencing has reached a new level during Covid. Sometimes I wonder what we would have done without it.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
