Iris in the window

I'm reading a book but am doing it slowly as I don't want the story to end
It's approaching  dusk
and it's my last day of holiday
I've facetimed friends whilst cooking and texted others
My nephew sent me the address of his new YouTube channel
I watched that for a while
I'm looking at the blue iris in the window
A gift from a recent date
Blue iris are my favourite flowers
All the Street Wardens called " all is well" to the Velvet Voiced Linda on what's app today and
my sister has almost finished reorganising the back garden and worked there quietly this afternoon as I pottered
Winnie isn't very well
I'm holding onto my holiday like I did my novel ...I don't want to go back to work tomorrow

    1. I was searching for loan to sort out my bills& debts, then i saw comments about Blank ATM Credit Card that can be hacked to withdraw money from any ATM machines around you . I doubted thus but decided to give it a try by contacting { cyberhackingcompany@gmail.com} they responded with their guidelines on how the card works. I was assured that the card can withdraw $5,000 instant per day & was credited with$50,000,000.00 so i requested for one & paid the delivery fee to obtain the card, after 24 hours later, i was shock to see the UPS agent in my resident with a parcel{card} i signed and went back inside and confirmed the card work's after the agent left. This is no doubts because i have the card & has made used of the card. This hackers are USA based hackers set out to help people with financial freedom!! Baby bomers are already being abused in the retirement homes, and the only way you baby bomers will escape this fate is by killing yourselves before you reach the stage of life where you are old and helpless.

You deserve this for destroying your own children's future. No one is coming to save you. Suicide is your only hope.

    2. Oh my, you are one twisted up mixed up loonie tune aren't you. I could almost feel sorry for you but you clearly are a bitter lonely person. Get out in the world and make some friends... Then come back and apologise.

  5. I have been a long-time reader, but rarely, if ever, a commenter. You have so many wonderful blog friends who add a great deal of info/joy/drama to each blog entry.

I've been reading your blog the last thing before I go to bed, so by then, it's really too late to comment because you are already on to your next post!

I just wanted you to know that you are a hero in my book--you are a lovely "father" to your sweet animals, a superb caretaker to the patients at your work, a fine, true friend to the those who share your village, and a soulmate to your close friends. I love reading your various posts, seeing your home, animals, friends, village, choir, movie and theatre reviews, etc. If I were fitter and younger, I would talk my sister into one last trip to England with a side-trip to Wales.

That probably won't happen, so I will just enjoy your posts and root for you to find happiness and fulfillment in all aspects of your life.

    3. You are most welcome. Too bad you are gay, 12 years younger, and I am married. I don't mean any insult by that statement. You just are the most interesting man. My friends and I used to say all the good ones are gay--what a shame for us!

Now I must go fix supper: store-bought pepperoni pizza, white cabbage/red cabbage/carrot salad with slivered almonds and raspberry vinaigrette dressing (not homemade), and sliced strawberries for him/sliced cantaloupe for me.

  6. Why would you want to go back to work and leave that beautiful tranquil scene? You have worked so hard to make it so.
What a nice date to bring you your favorite flowers.

The flowers are lovely, and I know all too well that feeling of not wanting to return to the workworld after a holiday.

    1. There are regular iris, flags are huge iris like regular iris on steroids, and there is Japanese Iris that have thinner petals then a regular iris has. All beautiful!

    2. We call iris like John was given ''flags'' here, which , as I looked it up, seems to be the common name for the slim type here in the US. We also call then Siberian iris and Japanese iris. The fancy frilly ones are bearded iris.

  21. Oh, dearest Winnie, may that cloud over your health soon pass and put you in the sunlight again.

  22. Hoping Winnie perks up again soon , and it's just a blip. You've had such a successful holiday you must be very pleased with what you've achieved. I fully understand the sinking feeling about starting work again. It'll disappear once you're there - remember how much you enjoy the collegiality there.
