Husavik

I love it when truth becomes stranger than fiction
The Netflix movie Eurovision Song Contest - The Story of Fire Saga seems to be a heavy handed comic farce centred around Iceland's bid to win the camp as Christmas competition
The final song Fire Saga ( the band) performs is a sacarrinesque ballad Husavik ( my home town )
And suddenly it's captured the public attention and has become a real hit !
Go figure

  1. On first hearing about this film I really wanted to see it, being the lifelong Euro super-fan that I am. But after hearing and reading exclusively dire notices my enthusiasm has been irrevocably extinguished. Curious enough about this one song though, so I'm heading to YouTube.......

  6. "Go figure"? Go figure?!... Get back to speaking Welsh lad; or even English. Go figure!?... Am tempted to respond with Sheeesh! as my American colleagues would say. Hard to beat the Father Ted Eurovision episode, I suggest.

    1. By the way, that is a far better song than any I have ever heard at the real Eurovision.
