    1. I was searching for loan to sort out my bills& debts, then i saw comments about Blank ATM Credit Card that can be hacked to withdraw money from any ATM machines around you . I doubted thus but decided to give it a try by contacting { cyberhackingcompany@gmail.com} they responded with their guidelines on how the card works. I was assured that the card can withdraw $5,000 instant per day & was credited with$50,000,000.00 so i requested for one & paid the delivery fee to obtain the card, after 24 hours later, i was shock to see the UPS agent in my resident with a parcel{card} i signed and went back inside and confirmed the card work's after the agent left. This is no doubts because i have the card & has made used of the card. This hackers are USA based hackers set out to help people with financial freedom!! 3. You're witty, and, to be honest, the occasional LGBTQ content drew me here. You've shown me how it can be a subtext but not to the exclusion of everything else.

Can we skip number 4? No? Sigh. OK, here goes...

    4. Even though when I look in the mirror without my glasses on I increasingly see Richard Nixon, circa 1974, staring back at me, I've actually been told by other people that I look good for my age.

I'm creative, though I have yet to make that pay.

I can hold two opposing thoughts at the same time, though I also have yet to make that pay.

    5. Can't narrow it down to just one so I'll give you three: Rear Window, Dr. Strangelove, The Wizard of Oz. Oh, wait, there's also A Streetcar Named Desire, The Apartment, Bringing Up Baby...Aw, forget it. There's just too many.

I removed an earlier comment because I misread the fourth question. Instead of "name three things" you like about yourself" I thought it said "name three things about yourself" You might have found my answers kind of puzzling.

  64. 1. Philip or Phil - I really don't mind. I introduce myself as Philip because of a mild childhood trauma:-
Priest: What's your name? (a bit abrupt but never mind)
    Me: Phil (bright and breezy)
    Priest: Bill? (somewhat stern)
    Me: Phil (more neutral)
Priest: Bill? (actually quite angry sounding)
    Me: Philip (a little tremolous)
So, ever since, to be on the safe side, I say "Philip"

    3. Initially I came across some posts about your time as a student psychiatric nurse in one of the old asylums. I recognised the experiences and the 'feel' for the period and environment immediately from an identical time in an identical setting 150 miles away.

$. I am adept at critical self-reflection which if kept in perspective is a very positive quality. But I have a tendency to take it to masochistic lengths which make it very difficult, for example, to answer a question like this.

I was forced to wade through a flock of turkeys when five to get to the outhouse at a house we were visiting. They might as well have been a flock of t-rex to me. It's your interest in your fellow villagers and mankind and your take on life that kept me here.

  131. It's been fun to read everyone's answers.

Here you go, John; ask and ye shall receive:

    1. What’s your name?

    Kate, a.k.a. Blondi Blathers

    2. Where do you live?

In a farmyard five miles north of Kylemore, Saskatchewan. (Canada)

    3. Why do you like Going Gently?

Why do I like thee? Let me count the ways. I like thee for the breadth and depth and height my soul can – oh sorry, just a minute here while I collect myself – okay let me try that again – I like your blog because it shows me your daily life, shares your thoughts and feelings, and gives me a glimpse of the place where you and your neighbours and live; a place I’ve never been and probably never will, but thanks to your frequent entries I’m shown a different part of the world through the eyes of a lovely person whom I’d love to spend time with, and your blog is the next best thing. I also like that you post frequently; I have your blog in my online directory where its name and link and the first sentence rise to the top of the list (I guess this is a sort of blogroll) when you post a new entry, so when I sit down to see what my bloggy friends are up to, there you are, announcing yourself – as someone above said: reliable.

    4. Three things you like about yourself.

I read your questions last night while sitting like a vegetable in front of the TV in the living room with my fella, watching Midsomer Murders, and darned if I could think of what I like most about myself besides my stubborn, glossy, thick, straight hair – probably my best feature. But seriously, while out for a walk this morning the answers came a little easier. One, I like that I’m so intensely delighted by a quiet country road and the wind making the poplar leaves shimmy and shiver; it’s good to be easily delighted and I'm glad to be healthy enough to be out there walking. Two, I can carry a tune and it feels so damn good to sing. Three, I like that my needs are few and simple so that I don't have to chase the almighty dollar too far, although sadly I do still have to chase the F'n thing.

    5. Favourite movie.

Bandits, with Cate Blanchett as a kidnapped woman who loves two very different men, played by Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton.

At first I stumbled on Going Gently, as you do with blogs, probably because I read your comments elsewhere and was intrigued - and continued to read because you are a master story teller of even the everyday things. Now I also read because it feels like you are an old friend. Also, you are succinct in your writing, a skill highly underrated.
    4. Three things I like about myself: try my best to be kind; able to make people laugh with just words (in real life, at least, not so sure about in writing); able to see many sides of a question or problem - the shades of gray.

Oh! I love your blog as it is peek into your life, so very different (yet much the same) as mine. I appreciate your writing style, that you include both good and not-so-good experiences, and the vignettes of your friends and neighbors. You seem like the kind of person I would treasure as a real life friend and do treasure as a blog friend.
    I’m curious, empathetic, and talkative.
Movies... too many! The Big Chill; The Commitments; Harold and Maude; The Grapes of Wrath; Portrait of a Lady on Fire; Howl’s Moving Castle; Witness; The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel; etc.

I like Going Gently because you're open about your feelings and your life. You're too hard on yourself and I'm like that too. And you don't put up with arseholes:)

Three things I like about myself, my sense of humor, my loyalty and my work ethic.

Too many movies to count. I like comedies and romance comedies and off beat movies but humor is the main thing, or sometimes a good cry. I like how movies make me feel and think.
