Very cozy looking John, where was Albert? And what was the time that it was so dark out? I forget that about the UK as living in Auckland it doesn't get that dark that early even in winter.
If only there was smelleo (like audio and video) for that soup! How lovely to see the girls, and now I understand about Winnie's "boot".
It's funny, isn't it, how a place can feel lonely sometimes and sheltering and cozy at other times. It's more to do with the feelings inside us or our circumstances at the time, I guess. When I feel bleak, I escape into a book or baking, but it still doesn't completely work.
My kind of bliss... A cozy cottage, filled to the rafters with little fur-persons,simmering soup on the job, Candles glowing, and a lit hearth. Serenity at its best, thank you for sharing dear friend. Hugs, Jo
What bliss, the critters, the soup, the candlelight and firelight, and warmth. As my sound isn't working just now, I imagine you're humming and perhaps about to burst into song since you have a lovely voice and love music.
Your cottage looks so cozy and warm the dogs happy your home and Peter Gabriel singing in the back ground nothing boring about that, thanks for the music link.
Dorothy looks to me like she is thinking "Oh dear, what the heck is the mad man up to now, wandering about waving that thing in front of him and talking to himself?" I think she may worry about you :)
I drank a little too much gin many moons ago, tripped and banged my forehead, next day I had a nasty reminder-this evening I'm watching bbc4 about New Zealand with a cup of tea x
The cottage looks lovely and cozy. I've just finished nights too, and am going to have some toast for tea, and watch movies until I am tired enough to sleep.
Matt Alber great choice for the perfect evening John, I thought I might be loosing it clicked again on the You tube and Peter Gabriel came up and the next time your lovely choir came up which was fun to listen to again. It's just past midnight here teeming down rain which sounds lovely on the roof so I should have a good night sleep.
Lovely. Cosy and inviting. I wish for you that you didn't have to do night shifts. Is there any way you could find a job that is just day care? All those nights in a stressful job can't be good for your health. x
I thought the same, but then I realised that Albert, as the real star of the show, would be lounging in his dressing room (as John has since confirmed) and not coming out unless suitably rewarded.
What a wonderful, cosy and snug place to spend an evening John - only trouble is I couldn't see anywhere comfy for you to sit - all the cosy places are taken up by the four-legged ones.
You sound lonely John. Do you always work nights? Are your shifts all 12 hours? I hate both, they leave me so tired. In fact 8 hour shifts leave me knackered as you would say.
I hope you had a good evening and your cottage looks lovely and comfy. I am a big fan of comfy:)
You could always start a vlog. I enjoyed seeing your day, just wish I could smell your lovely soup. Have a relaxing day.

Hardly ‘lazy’ John. It was good to see your furry family all tucked up for a cozy night in. A good place to be after your raft of nights.
